I agree with this, even to the point that if Cabaye and Tiote were sold I would be gutted, but know we'd replace them with players of similar ability due to our scouting system.

That was always my feeling with Barton last January, look where he ended up. Choice is yours Danny.

exactly <laugh> but you can't argue with the players we've brought in to replace so called big players

No great loss is it? Santon will be a better player with a few games under his belt and unlimited potential.

Cissokho would be nice to come in at left back.

On Guthrie, never understood the criticism. Fickle people dont usually see potential and only focus on game by game. The lad has talent. Always has.

Pieters is average, I have watched alot of him, he is on the same level as Raylor, would prefer Cissohko from Lyon.

Cissokho is average if you go by what the majority of Lyon fans say...

Both average, neither good enough. Maybe we can get the Bull back when we finish in top 4 and bin dippers slide down to midtable.

I'd like Simmo to stay, but as alot of you have said we have a good replacement waiting for his chance.

Simmo has already been a bit of a journey man with the number of clubs he's been to, if the contract is improved on what he's already got then get it signed.

Cause things are moving in the right direction for NUFC and can't see him bettering what he has already got in terms of football elsewhere.

Seriously what other clubs would have him? (not trying to sound nasty)

Danny is only 24, so it's a tricky one for the club.

This is not a new development, he's had that offer for months now but presumably wants more money. There's still over 18 months left on his current one.

Would be quite sad to see him go, I like him and is always a good player to have.

But, if he is getting too big for his boots and demanding extravigant wages then he can close the door on his way out. Average footballer who deserves average (if you can call it that) wages, nothing more

Would be sad to see him go but as has been said he's not a big loss, would just be a matter of replacing him. Santon's way better and Raylor's about as good.

Plus if we did want to sell him, we could probably get a decent price. He's got more than a year of his deal left and there was talk of QPR/Villa offering as much as 4m, which is a good return for a 500k player who gave us decent service.

Yeah, I would say he is our weakest link in our starting 11 - too inconsistent and would eventually be back up when Santon gets used to English football. See you later Danny!

Cissokho is ment to be quality, and on Fifa he's a beast a lb. Don't know alot about Pieters but i've seen him a few times on ESPN, didn't look too bad.

    Santon - Taylor - Coloccini - Cissokho/Pieters

I actually orgasm over that back 4. I think over the course of a couple of months Best is going to be replaced by Ben Arfa in the team, just imagine :

    Krul
    Santon Saylor Colla Cissokho
    Ober Cabaye Tiote Jonas
    HBA
    Ba/Maiga/Cisse

What a team that would be to (hopefully) push us over the line and into a European spot!
