No wonder Conte does not win cups. In cup games you have to try to win on the night. We wasted the whole of the first half and then end up like headless chickens in the second.
Rio, Crouchy and Glenn Hoddle all very scathing of Spurs and you can’t argue with any of the points they’re making.
The fact that Porro completely bungled a header that allowed Hernandez to try and break was the issue, coupled with neither Skipp nor Hojbjerg covering It was a wild challenge, absolutely, but the way he's being scapegoated for losing 1-0 over two legs is utterly moronic
To be fair, most of our managers of the last twenty years have It's just Conte is uniting them in the same way Santini did...
8th March and the season’s over. I mean it was technically over last week after Sheffield but this one is now just the official date.
Nobody forced him to make that decision at all. He’s a liability and is showing no signs of fixing this big issue he has in his game.
recent fixtures/results have confirmed this, however playing the way we have for months and months, it’s felt like the season was over long ago, for me. We were never going to get close to remotely achieving anything. We’ve been so bad for so long.
Blimey. It's all happening in North London (or not!). Arsenal goping one way with a Leicester season and Spurs going the other with a suicidal (for them) season. The directors, managers and players will shortly have the summer to decide if they want success or more failure.....while the poor fan will look back at his empty wallet and think...was it all worth it!? It's crazy. At the moment(!) we are 4th. Normally this would be good for an average team but we are not supposed to be bloody average and other teams are creeping up on us because of our casualness!
Yeah it’s been a hard watch with Spurs for a long time now. I don’t think the team have played consistently good football since Jan 2019 if I’m honest.
These players may not be good enough BUT they are better than this. They have no belief and no leadership, no plan. We can't change any of them at the moment so the only option is to sack the manager. He should go tomorrow, because with him the season really is over. Let's at least try to get 4th spot. To do that we need a different approach, clearly.
With all the uncertainly surrounding conte, and the compounding disappointment with cup exits in the last couple of weeks, I can now see the final half dozen premier league games being a total shower. Worse than what we’ve already witnessed. Liverpool have hit form, and Newcastle have games in hand. We’ll end up somewhere between 6th and 8th now if we keep conte. we need a “new manager bounce” desperately, in the hope we can salvage something whilst there’s still enough games left to make a positive impact.
It feels pointless to be honest, we’ll just spend the money on another waster like Richarlison or Ndombele or Lo Celso and then whimper out at either the groups or last 16. Fair play to Richarlison though, to be a poorer signing than a fat bloke too lazy to work hard takes some doing.
