Only thing that bugs me about players removing the shirt is when they sling it to the ground. I find it a bit disrespectful to the club. There's and element of "it's all about me" to it imo I know that's not their intention, is just the heat of the moment.
I've just never understood the urge. Even in the days when my half-naked body was somewhat less alarming than it is now I never felt the need to share it with the world at large.
It's all part of the theatre isn't it. I bet if you had 50,000 people watching you and you managed to fix a bug, you'd run around the office with your shirt over your head followed by a knee slide down the corridor.
I don't understand it either. Funnily enough, I find kissing the badge more irritating. Actually I find most goal celebrations irritating. I liked Salah's yoga pose and Bobby's when he held one eye though.
If you don't have the means to watch the game then the alternative is listening to it on the radio, following live updates like BBC does or watching something like the watchalongs on Redmen TV or Anfield Agenda on YouTube - it's free. I've watched a couple of minutes, a few times. It's not for me but I appreciate the effort these lads put in.
