My immediate thought is the reason that interview with Japhet Tanganga they tweeted a couple of weeks ago was taken down and posted a second time The replies were a goddamn sewer
So I'm on some overproof ibuprofen right now due to dozing off on the sofa last night and my back locking in that position, which I think has prepared me for the numbness of seeing Darrenbentic once again starting at LWB
When you look at it on paper, the insistence on playing a 343 is just absurd. Look at how many players we have playing out of their natural or strongest position on a regular basis. Then take into consideration the fact that we are willingly sacrificing midfield control in order to play them there! Lenglet, Davies, Royal and Perisic are all playing in secondary positions in this format. Far better to my mind would be a 433 with Royal and Davies playing as regular FBs, Perisic dropped to accommodate Sarr in a 3-man midfield and then Kane and Kulu up front ideally not with Son as he is still playing abysmally. It's like we cut off our nose to spite our face, over and over again. All of the pre-game interviews basically cast this is the biggest game of the season (which at least to date, it certainly is). So why do we put ourselves at a tactical disadvantage before a ball has been kicked?
