I reckon Assem will eventually announce City's next manager is the current Pro Vice-Chancellor from the University of Hull and that he's also donating a 100ft high statue of an industrial generator to be placed on the A63 next to the Humber Bridge.

Historically, these bookies do not have a clue about Hull City, the odds must purely be based on bets placed yesterday?

Erm, that's the way all Bookies work on every single aspect. They set a starting price list and then move the odds regarding bets placed.

I was meant to say I am surprised many bets will have been placed on the next Hull City Manager on a national scale?

OGS's English is better than about 90% of the population of Hull. For example, see above quote.

I have to agree with TWF re the Dowie and Brown situation.

Brown had us near the bottom of the table but we were generally picking points up at home. and there was certainly still hope of staying up. We only lost at home under Brown to Man U, Arsenal and Tottenham I think, and they all finished in the top 4.

Under Dowie we lost every key game in the run-in, Burnley, Sunderland and Villa at home and we were **** each time, he also persisted with playing Kilbane on the wing in that period.

There's no doubting that Dowie did get us relegated, PB had done a brilliant job given the players we had, let's not forget that we were odds on to go down both seasons so for us to be in position we were when PB left was a bonus. AP obviously felt we needed a quick gamble to try and keep us up, Dowie was all that was available so I don't blame AP for it but I certainly blame Dowie for being ****.

Oh lovely, another one who knows nothing about Hull but enough to criticise it. Off you go then.

Mclaren is a great coach, not just a manager, and thats what we need. Forest and Wolfsburg were not the right positions for him. He has Hull in his heart too, I remember seeing him play for us in the eighties. Better him than somebody with little coaching experience.

You said it, moronic slagging off. The new manager should be judged on the salvage job he does, just like Pearson was
