well we certainly cannot get top 6 now! there had been a squeak but all future match's do seem to eliminate the slim chance we had of sneaking into 6th. We are outside the 9pts zone and WBA win tonight will restore them to 3 results ahead!
We showed up tonight with nothing against the worst team I have seen in a very long time. If that's the best we can do for the remainder of this season then we will fall down the league but hopefully we have enough points in the bag to stay safe. So many chances and we almost lost the plot totally at the end in a game we dominated and overall we were shockingly bad all over the field. Two bad games in a row but we have to keep the faith no matter what we think. Why did we buy Cornick, and I think Mehmeti will be another Massengo.
Scott is incredibly talented but we'll be lucky to get £25million for him in the summer. From what I've seen of our 2 January signings I have to say I'm very disappointed. I can't believe I sat through that rubbish.
Warnock was always going to do what he did . I wasn’t surprised by the game, we were by far the better team, but our final ball was poor. We always struggle against those kind of teams. It didn’t help we are struggling through the middle of the team with injuries and lack of cover. I don’t see what Cornick brings if I’m honest. Mehmeti seemed a bit overawed today and against Cardiff, he’s got bags of talent but I think he needs a preseason with us to get used to our system, our players and the speed of the championship
We seem to struggle against the bottom feeders at the moment. 1 point from 2 games against sides fighting relegation is a poor return, even away from home. We were the better side in both games, but can't score, which means you can't win games. We will play a lot worse than the last 2 games and win soon. A funny old game..
At the moment then, you've got a 7 point lead with both of us having 33 to play for. It'll be an interesting sideshow, but as long as we're both in the same division next season, I won't complain.
