All on 34 games now, and well we are still out of the play-offs - Championship Table - Football - BBC Sport - by four points.
Preston h QPR a Birmingham h Wigan h Luton a Huddersfield h Coventry a Bristol h Cardiff h Hull a Sunderland a Stoke h Are the final 12 games. Only one of those teams are above us at the moment! We'd better start winning, 7 of those 12 are at home. No excuses now. Some injured players back AND,"on paper" a half decent run of fixtures too!
If we were in 2nd place (which we should be but for some horrendous defending at times) they would be saying the same thing We are no longer the plucky Hornets who everyone loved to see beat the big boys in cup games For some reason we are not liked in general anymore, maybe we should change our nickname to the Marmites
Personally I do not take any notice of anything that Ryan Dilkes says about Watford. He has a history of making disparaging comments about Watford and he does not appear to be very well informed about the club.
Maybe but he has a point about relying on certain players like Pedro and Louza but then a lot of teams do have key players. The Sarr bit is straight out of the Sarr haters play book I agree . He would have only seen him on TV and Sarr general plays well on there ! I don’t think the defending has cost us particularly but a lack of goal particularly from strikers . We certainly wouldn’t be 2nd I don't think as they are too far ahead but top 6 definitely. What we really lack is a goalscorer - likey Deeney was.
Oh goodness me - that isn’t going to end well ! We seem to do better against the top teams . Ofcourse the Championship is such that it doesn’t matter where a team is in the league - they will give you a game .
Twelve games to go, eleven of these are against teams that we are currently above. Our chums up the M1 are the current exception.
You feel he has to start well or face pressure to even see out the season ! 7 points will be expected from the next 3 games then it’s Luton ..
And then if that happens maximum points in the games after that ! I do think everyone could do with a bit of a reality check . There are a lot of demanding even entitled people in and of the club.
I haven't a clue if we will make the play-offs, and when you look at the results in our prediction league, I suspect most would say this is the Championship, so anything can happen.
I mean if Pozzo or whoever read the forums they'd probably think fans wanted a change. Bit like with Munoz.- even now the poor bloke gets critisim for being a "PE teacher" - well least the players seemed to be happy to play under him. Not sure we can say the same since!? The issue is we don't replace them well and end up going through the same cycle again then everyone says how embarrassing it is and not a good look mainly because no-ones like to see someone/thing they love be openly mocked in public. Also there is no continuity or consistency with the type of manager we appoint. No doubt when Wilder goes we will look overseas again for someone who will want his own players and style of play and everyone gets excited before the predicable happens.
