Before anyone comments I know the thread title relates to season tickets. I'm asking for a friend.

Every ticket will be digital I believe, so I'd imagine they would need a smartphone with NFC or they would need to seek an alternative from the club.

Maybe, but gauging opinions and doing enough research to come up with solutions that suit everyone? Not a chance

Yet other clubs and indeed other industries have gone fully digital without all this whopper moaning <confused>

Think you have gone off on a MAJOR tangent now. Digital media doesn't automatically become inequal, undiverse or exclusive
I'm currently contracting for UK Gov who are notorious for having accessibility standards on all of their online media - doesn't stop me building a new digital service for them.
    Weird that innit?

Not really, my point is that surely you can’t introduce a scheme/policy and then charge folk £10 if the can’t use it?

    Tidied that for you

Is it any different to a company giving users a "discount" for paying by DD and not giving that discount to people who want to pay in cash at the post office?

All this talk about lack of "inclusivity" or "diversity" is just the usual snowflake nonsense in a nation where entitlement has become the new normal

The situation is this - tickets will be digital. If you don't want to have them, don't go. Simple as that

It's not a Government service, is not a lifestyle need, it's corporate product - buy it or don't. Stop ****ing moaning

So it seems no sharing tickets, no letting someone have your ticket when you can't go and if you want a simple plastic card, you will have to be considered individually?

I hope they are going to save a lot of money. It's true that no one has to buy and we can all take it or leave it. But supporting a team is more captive than most products, and IMO opinion they have went too quickly. They could have brought people with them rather than push them, maybe brought it in over a two season period or whatever.

Not good IMO. The club will lose support, of that I have no doubt.

What progress were you trying to bring into the railway that was getting blocked?

Anything and everything. Large items such as retail channel shift (self service/online sales rather than counter sales) and even small items like redesigning their shift swap forms to replace the 10 year old photocopy that was slipping off the page.

After everyone has their digital season card, the club can divert their attentions towards ensuring the club shop has the current season's shirts in stock beyond the first 3 games of the season.

Massive "meh" from me. The club have said they will work with individuals who can't have / don't have a smart phone so they are meeting their Equality Act obligations. Far more important things to be getting on with.

A 16.41% increase is a lot in any industry . . . . teachers & nurses (who almost certainly deserve it) would probably love that
