I've searched on Google and you are literally the only fan to ever say that.

The problem with that analysis is that Spurs ought to have been in the five top clubs all along but where way below that when ENIC took over. Fixing things to get us back to our rightful position was difficult enough. But overtaking 3 clubs who have historically been much bigger and better together with two who have spent more than £1B each is much more difficult.
The ONLY solution is to have more money than them. Everything else will follow.

    I disagree.

You can literally raise your game with the resources
you have, so that the "margins of error" become
increasingly smaller for those you wish to usurp.

And once they hit that point, prolong it for as long as possible
(which is what Arry did to the Poool, Pochettino to them lot
and to a lesser degree Man Utd) ,

His form was poor before the injury wasn’t it.

    I think it’s unrelated tbh

It's certainly possible in theory but in practice it is very unusual in any walk of life to be able to outperform an organisation with more resources unless you have a technological advantage. Because outperforming without a technological edge means your staff has to outperform. And if they do they will be tempted to move to the higher paying competitor.

If by "technology" you mean the literal study of techniques,
    then he above is true.

If by "outperform" you mean getting a certain range
of results quicker, then the above is true.

"And if they do they will be tempted to move to the higher paying competitor."

The possibility to move may be there.
The vocational temptation depends on the
    operating environment of the competitor
(an axiom that holds in nearly every walk of life) .

I have seen this suggested elsewhere, and it is true that he was backing out of some 50/50 balls for a while afterwards - but his form was poor before the injury

Son always backs out of 50/50 balls, especially if they're headers. That's not new.

It wasn't just headers he was backing out of, he was backing out of 50/50 balls on the deck

He certainly didn't have a track record of that, and it has to be said he was going for those balls against The Sheikh Mansour Team a few weeks ago

Returning Spurs into the top 6 clubs was a walk in the park, we have always been a big club with a massive following, that was the easy part, so please don`t try and make out ENIC are some great saviour of the club, because they simply are not. Yep, the only solution is having more money and the desire to spend it on improving the football team, which is why we need new owners, because that won`t ever happen under the misery of ENIC.

ENIC are done with the the club they are just it’s name to expand their business portfolio…of course they will always buy players to fill a squad or we would not exist but Levy has done all he is capable of…all he has is business ventures…he even tried the ‘let’s not buy any players’ approach under Poch.

Give it a few more seasons, he’ll have bungee jumps and wall climbing introduced so he can utilise the stadium to its max because by my calculations he’s got the stadium roof maximised by that walk thing near the cockerel and underground is sorted with the Go karting, that leaves the side walls

The fact that you describe our best ever series of League finishes and an appearance in the Champions League final as 'misery' shows that your opinions are not based in fact. You only seem to care about trophies.

I don’t really understand your comment. There are more than a few clubs who could legitimately claim to be around as ‘big’ as Spurs, in terms of historical success and following. Why did none of them break the cartel if it’s so simple? Both Everton and Villa are clubs with big followings and a lot of historical success. Where are they right now?

If it's so easy to return a club with a large following to the Top 6, why have Newcastle spectacularly failed to do so until the Saudi investment came along?

There's plenty of clubs who can say they have large followings who have a history of being relevant who have nudged the Top 6 or even the Top 4 in the past twenty years, with Everton and Villa the most obvious examples but the likes of West Scam and Wolves can certainly claim to be part of that group too, and have they broken through into the Top 6 in the past decade? No, they haven't, in fact Villa and the Scammers have broken through into the second tier in the last decade, Everton look determined to do the same, while Wolves are finding Jorge Mendes to be a little less generous these days and are suffering for it

It all depends how you look at things and how you define success.

League position wise, Spurs have massively improved under ENIC and have been participating in Europe pretty much every season in recent history.

Trophy wise. 1 league cup isn’t good enough and that needs to improve.

In the last 4 years we've been knocked out of the FA Cup by:
Norwich at home... they were relegated
Everton away... lower half of prem
    Boro away... championship
    Sheff Utd away.... championship

We played weakened teams in 3 of those matches...all 5th round.

In the league Cup it was
    Colchester...league one
    City (final) .... champions
Chelsea (sf) ... runners up and 3rd in prem
    Forest...were bottom of the league

    Europe
RBL last 16 of CL ... (lost 4 nil)
    D Zagreb last 16 EL ... (threw a 2 nil lead)
Group stage of ECL ... effectively out cos we lost to FC moura and Vietesse

We are not taking Cup competitions seriously imho.

Only the losses to City and Chelsea were against "top teams".

That's what's pissing a lot of fans off.

The FA Cup, league cup, EL and ECL have been treated like they are beneath us at times.

There was no excuse for the team we put out v Sheffield United or Forest this season.
