It's away. 3-0 needed against quit3 a solid outfit with real hurt on the counter. We've no ****ing chance, they will score 5
Whilst I agree that we have little chance in this game, I do recall your assertion that Man U will walk through our midfield.
I reckon the real game will be glorious failure. They tend to labour in 2nd legs after a first leg lead (the juve game where Buffon got sent off springs to mind) but usually do just enough to get through.
I'd take that right now. I'd rather go down swinging and look like ourselves than capitulate when already 0-3 down in the tie in effect. If we continue the urgency we showed in the first 25mins v real and all game v utd and not play like we did v palace for the rest of the season that will IMO be a big step towards getting into the 4th place mix. OBVIOUSLY winning by 3 and taking them to pens then winning and making those ****s cry would be the ideal outomce but a 2 gao lin is glorious failure yeah? I'd take it cos its about giving our all.
I often think of each game as being a picture. At the end of the season you have a collection of pictures to look back on. Each is a specific moment in time and each tells a story. Some were painted with great skill and could rightly take their place on the wall of fame to be looked at and treasured forever. Others could and should be consigned to the bin, while most are somewhere in between beauty and being beastly. In terms of swapping a 7-0 win vs Real for a guaranteed loss next round, I don't think I could think in those terms. We need the win more to advance than to make some kind of point to Real. I'm not sure I like these 'would you rather.....' propositions
Yeah, let's not forget United were walking through our defence at will for 20 minutes before the Gakpo goal. I honestly think we COULD get three goals there now - but no way will we keep a clean sheet. I even think Klopp will rest players, tbh. Or he'll take players off at halftime if we're behind.
it'll be fine. you.dont lose momentum now. 4 wins in 5 in league and we were staggered by the real result and ended up drawing with really negative nervy showing v palace.
And I would agree little chance too. But prior to United game. I think people would think it more likely to beat Madrid 3-0 and then on penalties or win 4-0 than it would be to beat United 7-0. My point is, I expect to be knocked out, but there is still a sliver of a chance. Mitos predictions over the season would have us relegated each year.
Apparently Utd fans are blaming Weghorst for the defeat because he touched the Anfield sign which opposition players never do, allegedly. please log in to view this image
He told a Dutch newspaper in 2018 that he "had dreamt of playing for Liverpool since childhood". In 2020 he said "I've always found Liverpool very special. I still get goosebumps from You'll Never Walk Alone". He's fascinated with us. Can't blame him
oh my god. that's about the first in about 25 years I've seen someone do this mancs now claiming the journeyman only did it to wind up van dijk. that went well
