Could be something in it, not like there aren't already a bunch of players around his age getting minutes in the first team. If he's got the right kind of mentality I don't see why not. What kind of striker is he does anyone know?
He's only just gone 18 I think, so is a bit lightweight but he works hard whenever I've seen him play. I get the feeling Murty rates him as well. The 21s don't really dominate possession in many games so it's tough going for our forwards at times but I reckon this lad could have a decent chance.
Not a striker by nature. Lightweight but works hard. Very young and his progression from south Shields in the last couple of year has been rapid. As a striker in the championship I would think he would get smashed to bits and isn't what we need. If Gelhardt is finding it tough then Gardiner would definitely. That said, nice lad is Harry. So if he gets the chance due to his hard work then all the luck to him.
