Refusing to confirm when discussions started for the job. Nothing suspicious about that at all.

Trump is a fairly common German surname. It seems that the family were using the name Trump as far back as the late 18th century, around 100 years before they arrived in the States. It is possible that Drumpf or Drumft are archaic versions of the same name although it's more likely to be derived from the Middle High German word trumpe from which the word trump meaning drum in the Bavarian dialect comes. It's well known that Donald's grandparents emigrated from Germany to the USA.

In the case of either Donald or Boris Johnson, I'm not sure what the relevance of their ancestry is.

It COULD be seen as an example of what can happen when uncontrolled Immigration is allowed.:emoticon-0105-wink:

But we should not be shocked that He has nominated Pa for a Knighthood.
He Elevated his Brother a to the House of Lords.

Sometimes it is useful to know where someone has come from to know where they are going!

Oh yeah, I agree it is important to get an accurate understanding of the facts in order to understand a subject.

The latest on Sue Grey is that, the Tories blocked her from getting a senior Whitehall job! Revenge for finding Bonko guilty.

I guess as a fcuk you she took the Labour job

You don't half exaggerate and deliberately misconstrue people.

It was just a bit of a joke but you twist it into a savage racial attack.

You really need to calm yersel down.

Just to be clear I was just having a laugh based on the fact that a man, of Turkish origins, who's being put up for a Knighthood, has apparently just declared himself French ...

... a little amusing after his son had brought us out of Europe.

I have no problem with Turks or the French, just wondering how low the bar is for a Knighthood.

Could've mentioned being a serial liar.
Could've mentioned being a serial shagger.

But no, it's his 'murky' lineage.

If dodgy Turk Johnson had made reference to someone's murky heritage that same poster would be Sunderland's first man in space by now.

But anyway, I've replied so it's time for you to hide.

Does Rishi Sunak look as if he'd unexpectedly been made leader of the Tory Party, and hadn't yet found a way of passing the buck?
