    Well that was rather satisfying!

It's great to see our intent in recent weeks when it comes to attacking - those red arrows bombing forward and overloading opposition defences has been sorely missed. This also indirectly helps with results as teams will start to fear us again, we've seen first hand what happens when the fear factor goes and teams come to play!

One that won't be forgotten, hopefully can take that confidence into the Bournemouth game because we have a tough set of fixtures coming up.

Phenomenal result. That's what passion, desire and teamwork gets you. The goals were all so good, I can't even say which was the best. Delighted that Bobby got his. Add 10 minutes to that game and it could easily have been 10-0.

Its staggering that Ten Hag chose to play Rashford down the middle, when he and, well pretty much everyone, has had joy exploiting the space behind Trent previously.

As mentioned throughout the thread, Antony just seems a nothing player, particularly for what £85 million?

I expect the team to play like that every week now.

Actually, I don't... But I wish they would.

Got to be Gakpo second, beautiful team goal and finish. Plus it made DDG look a mug too

    Lets be fair.

the first was a good pass and smart finish but it was created by rank defending by utd and no pressure to pass being create and no shut off of the lane. keeper was terrible as well.
the second was a comedy of error with ball bouncing round and failures to clear there was 3 chances to deal with it in midfield before salah's weak cross that shaw passed to elliott. this goal summed the game up for me. Utd were mugged there by our good press and desire
The third again was poor tracking by anthony and rank defending by martinez and then poor keeping by de gea. the best goal for us i do agree. pace and drive.
The salah one was a ball breaking off a player after half block. nunez goes in second time after his initial pass was blocked. and landing right at salahs foot. keeper had no chance.

    lols

then the next one :) no pressure on Henderson who jogs out and crosses into nunez who just runs in and makes an interesting header i think he means. zero urgency form utd with lots of players back and all looking at each other.

the next one.. ellioot is let run. again no prssure on him. nobody engages. they has subbed to put the kid LB on at this point and he is 20 yards from elliott who can pick his pass into box. he goes bobby who loses it and the clearance is a shocker off bobby and back to salah who cannot believe his luck.

the bobby goal then happens. utd all over the place. jones gets it in centre circle with mans not bothering to pick up or have shape. ts the LB closing in on him. Again no midfielder was near jones so totla abdication of duty. one pass to salah who then is onto cb who cannot come at him. its nearl enough 3 on 3 with one pass.

salah puts the ball form 5 yards away though the defenders ****ing legs. like... wtf. then bobby takes it too wide by de gea once again proves he is **** on the near post and almost tuns his back on the save, lets it through legs and man on line is actually 2 yards behind the line.

    lol lol lol

utd heads were gone. there was zero effort to lead and salvage at lease some pride by just getting into a bit of shape and at least keeping us away from goal.

the second goal showed our desire. we came out after HT pumped. I'd say it was intense in there at HT.

the tird was the best one. salah put martinez on his arse. gakpo cut finihs mugged de gea.

the rest? well the lads did thier jobs , good headers and good following up but they all had huge time and sapce to pick the option and frankly utd would have done better with a geriatric rather than shaw and anyone bar de gea in goal.

Just watched motd and still can't pick a best goal. If I was forced to choose, it would be the first one.

The clinical manner of the whole move is what wins it for me. It's bad defending, but it's the manner in which Liverpool of years gone by have punished teams.

They eviscerated him on motd2, but they missed the third goal - Gakpo mugged him in our half, fed Salah then set off like a rocket for 70 yards ( he's quick like Salah and Nunez- Anthony just isnt) and received Salahs return to finish sublimely. Anthony stood half arsed on the halfway line with his hands on his hips

When we get Diaz back we'll four forwards of breathtaking speed - Uniteds breaks rely on Rashford. What they've done with Anthony though is buy an £82m show pony. No matter where Sancho 's head has been, would you ever pick Anthony over him? Just no.

I think it was part of the reason we got the mentality monsters label: whatever has just happened, you keep your head in the game, giving up isn't an option. It's this attitude that shows the difference in character of some individual players and the collective team. We were back at it yesterday and it was great to see. Utd on the other hand ......

People claiming bad defending, you still have to punish that bad defending...

    it was rank defending. <ok>

8 shots on target and 7 goals suggests they shoud have played me in goal. I'd have got out of the way of all of our shots too.

the first one was diabolical and sky forgave it cos someon ran in fornt of him. the shot was obvious. he didn't dive at all.

The second was poor enough all round by utd so no blame i guess

the third he was dink. not made himself big

The fourth ok, tough with salahs shot

    the 5th another header

the sixth :) lols could he do better?

the last one 100% he turns his face away like a coward.

there's so many in there its possible to give de gea sahde for at least 3 anyway. Alisson would have saved them.

The best of the strikes were gakpo 2. I think he saves that if he makes himself big. Salah 1, nunez 2. I'd say no chance on those. Maybe nunez 1 and salah 2 as well. That leaves gakpo 1 and firmino 1 as really poor keeper.

Shall we review shaw next please <laugh>
