And we've still not had a penalty since April.

Let's hope he never grows up then - he might start getting goals.

MotD with yet another Long Range Punt of the Month competition.
I guess there are no elegant or intricate team goals being scored these days.

I stated you needed a right winger 2 cm, rb and a cb to be able to compete regulalry at the top. You then laughed as if to say the players you currently have in those positions are good enough.

It’s not really an exaggeration. Anthony Dalot AWB Fred Mctom maguire lindeloff are all mid table tables.

If you replace them with quality then you may be able to sustain a challenge on the title.

Getting Kane in to ply Cf will improve you no doubt, but if he’s surrounded by average players won’t get you the big prizes. Just ask spurs.

Goals with 75% of ball is easy.

City are losing too many and just hanging on the coat tails 9f arsenal when they should be 10,points clear

    They absolutely destroyed the showboater

Didn't even refer to him stopping on gakpos second or losing ball for break for salahs from corner

Expect to see him running around a bit for a few games after ten Hag has his knackers on a string over this one.
How long for remains to be seen.

He's 100% the new Bobby imo.

Be interesting once all five (Gakpo, Diaz, Jota, Nunez and Salah) are all available

Shouldn't the comparison be Nunez and Anthony? Gakpo is a different type of player

And Bobby was a CAM before he became one of the best CFs (not striker) in the game for us.

You play a different system to us though. Think you play more of a 4231 with Bruno in the hole to create. Means your focal point can be more focused on scoring.

We play 433 with workhorses (usually) in midfield. Our focal point drops into the space Bruno would take up for you, opening up space for the wide players to exploit.

Gakpo is proving to be very good at what we want from him but I don't think he's fit how you want your focal point to play.

Exactly. I think that's the difference between a CF (Bobby) and striker (Kane)

speaking seriously, why did ten haag come with a negative.mindset to timewaste for first 25 odd minutes.

it was more like watching Everton with the amount of extremely slow throws, goal kicks etc and just about every tike a mamc got close it was a dig or a foul and the ref completely indulged it.

Was this negativity part of man utds issue?

I did not see ten haag shouting at Anthony to cover Robertson either?

it was because Treble kept saying he was glad they didn't get Gakpo as Antony was a far better player .

    sancho?

I think he at least would do the job. the fall off since moving form dortmund is massive but who's fault is that?

TBH if you look at utds squad

De gea - i keep calling this one. He's a massive ****ing issue but no utd fan will ever admit it. He is rooted to line all the time and **** at his near post.
Henderons -not even at the club

Dalot - i agree, the guy is weak for a club challenging for honours
    AWB - extremal limited RB.
Shaw - what an absolute cluster **** yesterday. head was completely gone. I don't rate him as a defender but he has a wicked left foot for assists.
Malacia destroyed us at old trafford. I thought he should be starting ahead of shaw but ten haag thinks different
Varane - he's turning 30 this year only, theres a reason hwy real let a player go. He was a rolls royce defender but is a crock like matip
Martinez - snide, nasty, short. 2 of the 3 traits are good for a defender.
Lindeloff - he's toast, head is gone
Maguire - some people starting to defend the guy again. - simply not good enough for a side challenging for honours

Casemiro - overweight. theres a reason why real let players go. He's not the future, just better than the **** they had
Fred - looks fit and runs about nicely but.... thats it really.
Mctominay - th new darren fletcher. when fit he's alright running about kicking people but he's a limited player
Eriksen - got injured and utd fall apart. I mean lets face it that tells us a lot.
sabitzer - seriously? does this make any sense?
van de beek - thats not worked out has it

Fernandes - his "performance" there was a shocker. looks more and more a sunshine boy and flat tracker.
Rashford - on top of his game after 2 years of it. has he signed a new deal?? utd need to sort this asap.
    Anthony - showboater- liability.
Sancho - better than anthony. hasn't worked out so far.
martial - absoute waste of space at this point. really hasn't worked out since van gaal panic bought to get him in.
weghorst - don't get this need on laon but i assuem it helps short term with objectives to win europea.
garancho - looks a player, needs to stop copying anthony's hair <laugh>
elanga - very unlucky, did very well but ten haag has come in and stalled this kid a bit?

    Overall I would say

    1. Utd could do with a genuine keeper who can come out and sweep up.
    2. Agree on RB - they can carry the passenger a bit but they should have it on their list
    3. another CB would make sense but have to get shut of jones, bailly, maguire and lindeloff to make room.
    4. Midfield. I don't see the long term here. have to agree that 2 CMS would make a difference here long term. thye've got 2 or 3 there but then you need reliable players as well.
    5. RW: they have sancho and elaga. I think they do not need another. They need to admit anthony needs a lot of work.
    6. LW seems well covered there.
    7. CF/ST: They've a huge amount of work to clean this up. Martical and weghorts simply are not going to cut it.

Now: this is not to be critical, LFC could say the same stuff.

RB: we have trent but we have no reliable back up or competition to keep him thinking. this is back up though. if everything functions there's a lot more strength going forward here than weakness defending.
CB: we've two eyesores as reserves and vvd is slowing down. Matip and gomez are scary.
Midfield is a bit of an eye sore. we all know it. theres a lot of work to be done
Forwards: We will have gakpo, nunez, salah, jota and diaz for next seaosn plus elliott/doak/gordon. we have no room for more nor the need right now

We could tear arsenal apart as well.

We could certainly tear into city based on where they are this season.
