The problem IS that the player was injured by his team mate and we were in possession at the time. The ref should have given us the drop ball or instructed Stoke to knock it back to us. Instead they had the ball and their "injured" player rose like ****ing lazarus to play a part in the goal

Naïve from us, but shocking from the ref.

Their keeper took Batths head off and could have been a pen tbf. But Batth got up and got on with things whereas their lad rolled about like a twat.

    Agreed
But was largely good at it in his time here

That said I still hate the tw*t for the way he left

We need to get a bit more savvy in those situations. We are like choirboys compared to some teams and whilst I don't want us to be a Stoke or a Wycombe I think we could get round the ref on occasion

Defiantly agree mate. Ballard seems to do it but he isn't backed up by anyone. I don't like it as a general rule but **** it, we need to get amongst it especially at home.

Does Tony actually manage the team or does he just say get out and play your game, then cross his fingers?
I suspect the latter, in which case we might as well have Sampson the Cat in the dugout.

Where were the Police yesterday surely they must have caught the sniper who was taking numerous pot shots ironically ONLY at the Stoke players who were well versed in the dark arts of ****housery and staying down at the few tackles we made and in some cases didn’t make . As pointed out we are a young team who tend to suffer against the more physical teams , TM should be aware of this and know that he needs to fight fire with fire , Stoke were always going to be more physical , experienced , and as we have been used to over many years masters of the dark arts - nothing changes .

He is the Head coach not the manager so he coaches the players and sets them up on a Statda.

Gets what he is given in terms of transfers. That's how I read it anyway.

I can understand why some managers/coaches don't like that approach. Alex Neil walked away because he felt he didn't have enough control.
Mowbray accepted the position with his eyes open, but I can understand how it can be frustrating

Yep. Got to be fully aware of the situation you are walking into and what the expectations are.

I still think we are on track, hopefully the last few weeks are a bit of frustration about "what could have been"

We need win from somewhere to stop this blip becoming season ending. It's difficult to accept a mid-table finish after such a great first 2/3s of the season, but in reality it's what all of us would have taken in August.
Big summer ahead for the club and we will see just how serious KLD is about getting us back to the PL. We must get Stewart signed up to a new deal and we must sign at least another 2 strikers to compliment him. I accept that we will lose a couple of our better players, but we absolutely have to invest

Thought a head coach's job was to decide the best tactics against each opposing team, not play the same regardless.
Tony seems to think tactics are little mints that come in a plastic box.

I think that's a bit harsh. He has been excellent for us in difficult circumstances and maybe has just come up a bit short in the last few weeks due to a lack of options

I've not been to many games over the last couple of years, and to be honest I wasn't looking forward to this one too much.
Entertaining games against Stoke are about as rare as Hens Teeth.

We, my Grandson and I were seated behind the North Stand goal, where I regret to say I got an almost perfect view of their first three goals.
All of them were predictable, even by me.
Mystic Meg Moments, I could see what was going to happen, it was so obvious.
Had WE scored them, I'd have described them as good 'Team Goals'.
We didn't though so I'll be charitable and call it poor defending.

Most Teams have at least one 'Bad Day' in a Season.

Lets hope we don't get another one.

It goes to show that you can have a well balanced team packed with great players and on a high from a cup win (albeit against **** opposition) and the next game you can be utterly humiliated.

We all feel bad, but let’s have a thouht for my son. The Lads are his second team, and he goes to the home games. Man Utd are his first team!! Imagine how he’s feeling this morning!!! Had a couple of beers playing fifa with him last night though so he’s a bit better!

He's an experienced player and coach. He's done really well,we've played some lovely football,I've been very happy with him, despite reservations at the start.
Things have got a bit sticky....this is where we'll see how good he is.
