So marsch kept us up after we conceded 20 goals in a month with a side that looked beaten before they stepped foot on the pitch… but got lucky. Javi takes over a side who had clearly been the better side in all their recent games. Who he (and frankly everyone I speak to outside of Leeds forums) think had been playing well and not got the results they deserve.… will have done an ‘amazing job’ if he keeps us up. you are the king of goalpost moving Jammy.
Let's see what happens against Brighton. Last season they played us off the park but somehow we scrambled a last gasp equaliser which went a long way to keeping us up. Credit to Marsche for that as he pushed Pascal right up the pitch on one side and Koch (who was right back) on the other. If our new coach can make us look better against a very decent side and come away with something from the game then we might just be turning a corner
i miss cousin Jesse nah I’m great fella, hoping Javi gets the slice of luck we need, seems a nice guy, wayyyyyyy too early to pass judgement on him. Meanwhile I’m enjoying all the double standards, hypocrisy and utter bullshit I’ve come to know and love about this place.
Javi is a better coach than Jesse and the PPG per game until the end of the season will prove it. Stick that up your goalposts
I would if some cnut hadn’t moved them again. Javi may well be a better coach buddy, I sure as hell hope so and let’s hope he gets that ppg moving in the right direction April looks critical, there’s a bunch of games, mainly home games, I’d expect us to get a decent return from.
Brighton have played most teams off the park for 3 years. Just couldn’t score in most of them. We’ve played them 5 times since promotion and they’ve been the better side in all of them.
Agreed and that's why this latest encounter will show if Gracia can coach or not...or maybe just lucky as you suggest he might be. Seriously though it will be a good test and one to really look forward to.
As a long time critic I can say that he has probably played his best 3 or 4 games for us in his last 3 or 4 appearances. Fair play to him. That doesn't excuse his efforts for the previous 18 months where he was embarrassingly ****. So "Firpo bashing" was quite well deserved as it happens, just as much as the praise he has gotten recently has been deserved.
What about all the bashing he continued to get whilst injured or sat on the bench ? Seem to remember one wise and erudite poster suggesting we wait until he'd had a run of games during his second season before sharpening the guillotine.
For all they’re very good at what they do, I don’t find brighton an interesting watch to be honest - I so can’t really get up for this one. Such a nothing club, nothing to like, nothing to really hate. Just bland. And annoyingly better than us.
He played ****, got injured/covid/injured/covid etc and inbetween was not only **** but a complete liability, a walking yellow card, backed up by a lack of workrate. That meant he spent time on the bench....because he was ****. That was last season. This season he was injured and then just as **** as the season before. He wasn't good enough to displace Struijk at left back and when he did make an appearance still looked dodgy. Now he's had 3 or 4 games and has done OK in them. Arguably MOM in one of them. The body of evidence out there still suggests we should probably look at buying a first team left back regardless of which division we are to be in. Oh, and I'm guessing the poster you refer to is the same one that said Dan James would become a Leeds legend?
Jammy’s just using his legendary fox-like cunning or Eel-like slipperiness (delete as you prefer) by getting his ‘I was right along’ posts in as quickly as he can…. before the inevitable firpo fck ups come…. Forcing him to resort to one of his many back up, diversionary tactics. I enjoy watching a master of his trade at work…. It’s almost an art form.
Would love to see DJ back with us next season. Maybe even convert him into a full back to give Ayling and/or Firpo a run for their money. Incidentally that ****show Firpo was outstanding against Brentford on the last day when it mattered most.
