All I remember is Neville laying into him for diving and hitting the deck all the time. At one point he was hit gently in the chest so fell down clutching his face. Disgraceful. The media jury accept it as being part of the game. The authorities should review stuff like that and dish out retrospective bans.
well it does matter when it comes to the level of punishment dished out by the FA and when they appeal any punishment they will cite that it wasn't a 'shove' merely an arm around the assistant - so no ban

but the integrity of the game is compromised what if Liverpool needed one more goal to overtake Manure for a Champions league place and the ref was at least 4mins short on time or another team needed one more goal to avoid relegation ?? too much money is involved for individual refs to make up what they want and determine a result
