    He’s half a second too slow in thought and movement. That’s all, but it’s the difference between an effective PL player, and one that can perform at SPL level.

    When you are as slow as him it doesn’t matter as he can’t get around the pitch quick enough to make an impact. Also I think “runs round a lot” isn’t very helpful in an attacking midfielder

    He's more effective in midfield for me rather than an attacking player.

    Constant poor touches, misplaced passes, a woefully skied effort, got himself booked, no goal threat.

    And all in half an hour. It was quite impressive in its unimpressivness really.
