The stadium looks half empty at this point. Players and fans have created an "occasion" of this match which they've been utterly unable to handle. I genuinely believe that we have the best away support in the country, but our home support is bang average. Dwight Gayle should have been booked for that celebration. Deliberately inciting the crowd. I always find it a bit bizarre when absolute nobodies who once played for the mags try to create animosity with us. On this ocassion he succeeded though due to a moron throwing objects. No doubt he same moron, will be complaining when away fans do it. Smallbone has absolutely dominated us today. And there goes Patterson's England hopes.
Really really poor today. Hard to see who has performed well. Cant really understand Mowbrays selection either with just one CM. Even his subs were bizarre. Really bad day at the office and danger of this now becoming a rut. Confidence looks to have gone. I have praised Dan Neil to the heavens but have to say he has looked miles off today. He is in their on his own, but even accounting for that he hasnt played well at all. Have to be honest and say I am worried about form now and the next few games dont look kind at all.
Absolute disgrace. Mowbray shouldn't have to do the press after Speakman should. If TM is just a head coach working with the tools given then Speakman must front up when those tools are as effective as a spoon in a knife fight
Jesus H. Alex Neil must have saved all his chips up for this one and we’ve played right into their hands. Tony needs to take a good look at his tactics. A harsh but necessary lesson the formation/players combo he is trying needs to change markedly… or we’ll get well & truly butt-****ed in the next run of games.
To be fair to our support the SoL has hardly been a fortress, our home record is weak, and 43,000 have had very little to be happy about to.day
