Some of our players need to ask themselves if they put in a good shift today because the answer should be no.

They put in a shift, didn’t stop running, lacked quality, not endeavour

Not sure about that, we worked hard, but no real creativity, which is worrying. The last 4 games have only yielded 2 goals, both pens, that is a concern. We just don’t shoot when in good positions, I can’t understand it?

Why?, we were never going to reach top 6, we can still finish in a reasonable position. I’m more worried about Kalas injury, we can’t afford a CB injury as we are short of cover.

Think we are running down our own players forgetting that Cardiff held their lines really well making it difficult to get into the final third. As much as it pains me to say. They done their homework on us to stop our counter attacking.

When we did get through them we didn’t have the breaks, the ball didn’t quite fall for us, but credit to Cardiff they defended well and took their chances.

With a run it was possible, quite a few teams in the past have put togther an unbeaten run and got amonst it..
In parts of the game I actually thought we looked decent....Cardiff cleared a ball off the line, had it gone in I believe it would have been a different result.
Their first goal, Williams going off injured as did Kalas, created a massive hill to climb for us, we lost our flow..
I don't now believe we will get sucked in to relegation which is a relief, but I also don't see us getting into top 6.....so season over.....couple more games and NP can unleash the youngsters knocking at the door..
Worries for me, we have Kalas & Williams injured as well as Akinson & Conway......and as we did in 2018, likely to lose best players such as Scott in the summer......just as the manager was building a decent side....Daja vu.....:emoticon-0103-cool:

If so, you can be sure NP won’t cop the same flak as the manager did last time this happened… If we sell off the family silver again, and don’t progress, then we have to ask what the hell is going on at BS3.

Well, I accurately predicted the number of goals scored in todays game.
I just thought we would have scored one of them!!

One more point needed for forty five. They will get it in march.

Lost 2 in 13 games all competitions, dust ourselves down and get on with it, no disgrace, 14th on 44pts, keep it going Nige and the boys, we are still all together.

That's a problem for us ... A 22,000+ crowd in our stadium still looks quite sparse....
If we had a smaller stadium like say Ashton Gate for instance, that'd look much fuller....

But there we go. Hangover from our Premier League stint... Tried to grow too quick in some respects and now paying the price.

A 22.000 crowd in Ashton Gate looks quite sparse too. You weren’t in the PL long enough to make any difference it must have been boring watching your team battered every week <laugh><laugh><laugh>
