Hi all, I've never posted on the England forum before, but I've been moved to by the outrageous refusal of FIFA to let the English and Welsh national teams add remembrance poppies to their kits this coming remembrance weekend. Personally I think it's shameful that FIFA should be telling our national team, of our national sport, where the sport itself was fist established, that they cannot honour those that fought and died for this Country in the way that they want to. The FA have now asked FIFA twice for permission, and have flatly been rejected twice, with the threat that should the team include the poppies then they will instruct the referee to call off the match. My feeling is that the team should include the poppies regardless of what FIFA say. In my view to do otherwise would be both cowardly and disrespectful. If necessary they should have a non-FIFA affiliated referee team on stand-by. So I have decided to put it to the vote.
Sorry for the typo, the second option should read "No, they shouldn't wear poppies.." Have posted new thread with correct options. PLEASE DISREGARD THIS THREAD
