Just returning to this though, were we watching the same game? Liverpool were dogshit in that game, aside the 2 goals. We had plenty of chances, and even with 10 men we were outplaying them. And then you factor in that this is the team that has been twatted 3-0 by Brentford, Brighton and Wolves this season. Liverpool ain't all that. Spurs aren't great either, but decent enough to take advantage of weak Premiership in the have that we have.
Main point is the Court didn't accept the argument. So contrary to Delaney's insinuation that reinforces our original stance as the argument has been considered by a Court and not accepted.
It might be worth giving Gordon a go centrally actually. Perhaps just an in game experiment at 1st. I feel like he could cause a bit of mahem. Him and Isak could probably interchange pretty well
-----------------------Pope---------------------------- Trippier----Botman-------Schar---Targett ------Willock-------Bruno---Joelinton------- -------Almiron------Wilson----Gordon------- I'd like to see Howe start with that
What's for you then? We obviously favour 433 these days with the loan striker. It's Wilson or Isak. I've brought in 4 changes there with Gordon, Willock, Targett and Pope.
Man City are a better football team, so you can paint a many different formations and player selections as you like but it's highly unlikely newcastle will win. When they don't win everyone will be on here saying they should've tried this or that..... Potentially every selection or combination of players will fail anyway.
City have drawn 4 and lost 4 this season, ie they don't win 1 out of every 3 games they play, and normally they'd have better stats than that. Whether it's cos Liverpool aren't right at their heels this season, or whether it's cos Haaland is either on fire or anonymous with no in between.....they definitely have off days, it's just hoping that tomorrow is one of them.
Let's test your belief in your own argument shall we ? How about an avy and username bet on the result of this game? I'll even give you the draw ?
Assessing the 14,000,605 potential scenarios re players, formations, subs and outcomes... Realising how many of those we'll win!
I expect us to lose this one personally - loss 75%, draw 5%, win 20% ... I do think a win is more likely than a draw though, as I either see us getting soundly beaten or sneaking a surprised result. But yeah I'll play along of you really want.
Well try emailing your magical formula to the club and Newcastle won't need any better players ever again.
I agree that we are likely to lose the next game, we have a chance albeit a small one. What I do not agree with is that there's continued heartbeat on the horizon, we're in the middle of a serious reality check, we can't score goals and are going to go sliding down the table etc.
We already are in a reality check and are already sliding and don't score many goals so what's wrong with accepting it ? We all would've been happy with this before a ball was kicked this season .
I'd honestly rather play Murphy than Almiron or max at this point.. Saint Maximin is beyond me .. if he would just ****ing shoot or try and run past the last man he'd be a half decent player.. nothing he does ever comes to anything.
