The form guide (last six games) give the Blues, just a slender advantage over their West Yorkshire rivals six points to five, and have slipped down to ninth place in the league. Leeds have not won at Chelsea since Christmas 1999, when a Stephen McPhail brace gave David O'Leary's fledglings an unlikely 2-0 victory. Javi Gracia's side couldn't be facing them at a better time; even Southampton beat them the other week. Christian Pulisic (knee), Armando Broja (ACL), Edouard Mendy (broken finger), Cesar Azpilicueta (concussion) and Thiago Silva (knee ligament) are all sidelined for the hosts, whilst N'Golo Kante may play for the first time since last August after undergoing surgery on his hamstring. Leeds will be without the services of Rodrigo (recovering from ankle surgery), Adam Forshaw (groin/hip/pelvic), Liam Cooper (muscular) and Stuart Dallas (leg). Luis Sinisterra and Pascal Struijk face late fitness tests.
So this weekend we're gonna party like it's 1999 yeahhhh ......long overdue stat that needs halting then, let's get at that big lump koubially and also hopefully wipe that smirky grin of mount's face as well and get up havertz nose because he seems to lose it .....we hate Chelsea,we hate Chelsea
I’m hoping that their players have given up on Potter and are playing to get him sacked. Whatever the board are saying if they lose to us I think he’s gone. Not that he’s a bad coach but I don’t think he’s a big enough name for the prima donnas in the Chelsea dressing room. Otherwise I agree with you, they win. We also happen to lose a lot in London and are very good at ending a club’s bad run.
I worry that they have several players that can do something special to open us up. Apparently Southampton were under seige for most of the game against them but held out. I think because of the rivalry and because we stuffed them last time they'll be up for it. We haven't exceeded expectations for quite some time which is why we were so delighted with a 1-0 home win against a team that are so **** that Grimsby beat them. I really hope Javi can get a tune out of us. I want to be surprised like when we beat them earlier in the season.
Chelsea are like a better version of us. They seem to be on top most games but can't score and always seem to concede. Bottom line is that they are still better than us BUT we might be able to catch them on the break with our pacey lads. Sounds simple but if we defend well and take chances at the other end its not entirely impossible that we come away with something. If I had to put money on though, it would be on a narrow home win.
Southampton put themselves under pressure with the way they play. Let's see what the new guy can come up with. He may even surprise us with good old fashioned 4.4.2.
With how bad Chelsea is I expect something out of this game. I said a few months ago going to Chelsea would be bad for Potter and I was right. I noticed the press are toteing the current Brighton manager as his replacement.
The Everton forest game equally as important. If we can stay out of bottom three till April, we have a chance. We’ve four home games out of five that month. Surely a decent few points to be picked up ther. If not, we’ll deserve to go down
