Surely they'd just use magic?

 

Where's the fun in that? Make them go and get it.

Also if they allow any magic then what's to say someone won't use it to stop a goal? or is it a hoop? Anyway why the hell am I explaining this

 

Well I guess if they get spectators to watch a lake and a maze where they can't see what's going on inside they may as well get them to watch someone fetch a ball.

Also I hope they're using magic to fly the brooms otherwise I'd question what sort of baked beans they use at Hogwarts.

 

Well I did think about this. Do they use magic to fly the brooms or are they already magic brooms that fly and they simply control them?

If it's the former, then surely they could simply pick up any broom, instead of the Nimbus 2000 or whatever it was.

 

Googling Harry Potter fansites indicates that there are magic brooms (for transport, Quidditch etc ) and non-magic brooms, so presumably your second scenario.

 

We've had some pretty sad excursions from actual football on here, but this one takes the biscuit...

 

Maybe, I thought that the game ended when the snitch was caught, I didn't think there was any timer, but that would make sense; although, every single game they showed in the films ended with the snitch being caught... so it presumably happened alot. Has to be the equivalent of being knocked out on penalties after dominating a match.

Most of the pundits are going for a Manc win, we should treat this as a cup final. Win this and we are really in with a shout

 

You don’t auto win if catch it anyone. It’s just 150 points so generally results in a win but if a team is winning 160-0 and other team catch it, you could still lose 160-150. If question the tactics of you were 1, 160 points down in first place, and 2, why catch something that ends the game if you know you’d lose.

bit like in rugby needing a try to win the game after 80 mins and suddenly someone goes for a drop kick and scoring which ends the game with them losing instead

Liverpool have not been awarded a penalty since last April Hope we get one against Manchester United.

 

Tough match against the mancs. But our record against them at Anfield is exceptional. They’ve not won in 9 seasons. We beat them 4-0 in April.

2-1 . We’ll be ahead 2-0 at half time as they tend to start slower than us.

 

Can't believe i'm getting involved in this, but it's because the snitch thing is incredibly hard to catch and most games (supposedly) it doesn't get caught.
