We do and they are dodgy. But I really rue the day we sold Mitrovic. He would be ****ing incredible for us now
Keeping hold of either him or Toney would have made a massive difference to us. Bad judgemenr from Rafa there..
With Mitro I'd expect us to be safe top 4 this season. He's a massive fan, has buckets of talent, strong. Never was nor will be a Rafa fan
Scores from all sorts of positions, long ballers thought as a strong striker he should be headering the ball. Obviously would improve us.
I think we're having a bad run, and then will get out of it again. A lot will hinge on a change in tactic. For the Summer, it's almost a good thing to lose a final watching Murphy, Longstaff and Willock being so ineffective. Same vs City, a pumping is not a bad thing. The issue is, unlike earlier this season, we won't be able to go toe to toe and it'll probably be a bit of a return to Rafa days.
Not sure about this. He needs the right service to be effective like every target man, we don't play target man football, we don't provide quality balls into the box often enough to make a target man effective, the only one who can cross is trippier.
We are way better than the Rafa days, we were generally poor back then just defended OK against most teams. Now we play well all over the pitch, I have no problem with that, just our attacking tactics are atrocious. Out to the wings and pray is the order of business. We have been unbelievably lucky with injuries in truth, if Bruno, Trippier or Joe get injured we are absolutely dog in those areas of the pitch, it's absolutely a situation of you know you need to change it up and you also know there isn't anyone on the bench that can help.
I think the problem is compounded by our lack of creativity in midfield. Longstaff and Joelinton have never been the most creative and Bruno has dropped off lately. I would be tempted to switch Willock for Longstaff and give him the remit to get forward more. Probably not against Man City but definitely against Wolves.
I'd start playing Anthony Gordon, who we paid 40m for and stop having Isak on the bench. Max doesn't need to be starting, those days are long gone.
It doesn't matter what he tries in this game... they'll get beat and people will say they should've played the different way. Gordon will probably get injured
