Good... Wouldn't want to purchase a lower level club who don't agree to be milked like ants farming aphids. ****s.
Wonder if it’s related to the new Northern Ireland deal? Maybe we go for a NI club instead now that they have access to the EU market again
Good to see some Brid lads coming to City. A 16 year old was on the bench for the under 18s the other night. Makes a change as Leeds have had a few as one of the people who runs the Jackdaws is a Leeds fan. Leeds put a lot more effort into scouting round here than City. 2 blokes in my local who support City and Sheff Utd have kids with Leeds. I said to them but you hate Leeds. They said yes but only Leeds came to watch them and approached us. They would rather their clubs showed an interest but they didn’t.
They just want to milk us for money. All the butthurt over Rosenior's vague comments just masked over issues there.
Maybe Liam could learn to keep a little more tight lipped about undone business (and dead business as far as the Dundalk takeover). Apparently Acun quickstepped it to another potential offering, Shelbourne. Look at the manager (Damien Duff) response to takeover speculation: "But in the hours before kick-off word began circulating of potential interest in Shelbourne from the Turkish owner. And he was pictured alongside Shels owner Andrew Doyle in the VIP area. But Duff refused to be drawn on any speculation. He said: “I am not interested in anything that goes on upstairs. They have given me an amazing opportunity. I just love being on the pitch. I am more than happy with budgets, squads, everything." Duff does want investment in his club - he bemoaned Southampton not completing their takeover a few months back. But he has the nous to leave business negotiation to those on a different level.
Rosenior will have known what he was allowed to share, he definitely will have had permission to talk about the Dundalk thing when asked. I don't know why people are so desperate to pick at him. He's been great for us as a player and now manager.
Not as if Tan went running to the HDM about the potential redevelopment of Walton St, didn't get any blame for that outside of one or two remarks.
He didn't go running to anyone. HDM were doing a routine interview and the subject came up. The Mail chose to run with it when in reality there wasnt a lot to report on. To think I was once rang up personally at home by a ranting Colin Young the then City reporter shouting down the phone that the HDM do not report on speculation.
'Subject came up' lol. How do you think that happened? Do you think the HDM out of nowhere said 'Hey Tan, that street looks a bit run down, what could we do with it?' and Tan said 'Well funny that you ask..'
