It’s not lack of effort. It’s the wrong mentality full stop. They’re all running around but who has purpose? Who aside from Kane in this team right now picks the ball up and has the mentality of “Right, I’m going to make something happen”? We are so passive on the ball most of the time. It’s like we’re coached in a system and the players just assume it’ll work out if they go through the motions.
but they should be creating them…they had plenty of the ball Not much chemistry and game intelligence though
We need to qualify for that other tournament we have no real desire or quality to win We are just a club that follows the money sick of the cycles
All together! "And now,the end is near..........." How can this lot beat Milan and the rest of our fixtures? Blimey Even Everton would have killed us today!...and they are suicidal. Maybe they need a visit from that lunatic from the old Wimbledon Crazy Gang to shake 'em up!!!?
There are lots of reasons to not want Pochettino back... Janssen £20m, Nkoudo £12m, Clarke £10m, Lo Celso £45m, Sanchez £42m, Ndombele £55m Njie ?, Stambouli £5m, Fazio £10m, Sissoko £30m, Aurier £22m, *sigh*
There's no creative players, though. Who's supposed to be our Modric? Our De Bruyne? Our Eriksen? Our ****ing Maddison? We don't have anyone who controls the ball and the game, because of how we play. We stay compact, try not to concede and hope for a break, a set-piece or a moment of magic. It's boring as **** and when you take some players out, then it doesn't work. Conte isn't good in domestic cups anyway and we don't seem to be able to play two games a week. It's a recipe for disaster in these things.
The maddest thing is that we’ve only just entered March and our season is essentially already over. The FA Cup was the one thing that sort of gave a glimmer of hope to turn a horrendous season around and that’s now gone. Whether we beat Milan or not will be practically irrelevant because we almost certainly won’t get much further. And realistically, does anyone here truly care about top four anymore? If we get it, cool, if we don’t, I genuinely couldn’t give a ****.
Awful performance, I blame the players, the mentality was not right from the off, you could tell they were not 100% at it, the same old story we have seen it many times before, make a few changes and it all falls apart. Sanchez was comical once again, a real comedy show, he should have been sold 3 years ago. Oh well, I don`t even get p*ssed off when we lose anymore, another trophyless season, just the 21st under the misery of ENIC.
Yep league is the priority because it’s the most important competition. Right or wrong, winning the FA Cup isn’t as lucrative to the owners as finishing 4th
Is Harry Kane any good at driving? maybe he can win something with us by joining the Go Karting section of the Tottenham Hotspur Sports and Entertainment Centre
Perisic and Richarlison were the two signatures Conte pushed hard for and basically insisted on. Most on the 'inner circle' journos confirmed it at the time.
A lot of these will not have been Poch signings though, for example, he wanted Mane, who turned us down because Levy would not match the wages on offer at Pool, Levy then went and got Poch Sissoko instead, for a slightly lesser fee and £40k a week less wages.
Yeah potentially, if he does go I hope it’s abroad though. Get a few guaranteed league titles in Munich or something, solid crack at the CL too with them.
Perisic has been an underwhelming signing given his reputation, he does not have the legs anymore to play wingback in the PL and his defending is suspect, Richarlison did not look match fit tonight, he has had a poor start at Spurs and the early signs have not been great, but it is still too early to write him off altogether.
