Genuinely 5 minutes away, which is both a blessing and a curse

 

Well that was ****ing rancid. Both from the players and the manager. Lyanco. Caleta car both should never play again. Selles taking off our main attacking threat . ****ing give me strength

 

I didnt think the starting line up was that bad really.

I could see what he was trying to do, get some pace in there. But the players he started really let him down tbh.

Some of the subs were a bit strange, but I guess he was protecting Lavia. no idea why Djenepo came off

 

Barely created a chance. Doesn't get much worse than that. Just wish they would pull the plug on this season now. We're done. We have nothing. We'll do feck all next season too. The malaise started a couple of years ago and is only getting worse now

 

I did make all the arrangements to go on Saturday with my Dad just before this game - my first league game since before the World Cup. May unarrange now and stay at home and watch on tv. Not sure I can be arsed with us again this year.

 

I think Selles will say: " I gave you a chance. You didn't take it." to several players tonight. That team should have won by 2 or 3 goals. The liberties DCC and Lyanco took were an absolute disgrace. And they got rightly punished for it. The pair of them can do one. Orsic did **** all - plainly doesn't give a ****. We need to keep these types of players away from the first team squad as they do far more harm than good.

 

This is exactly it. Didn't need this f*cking squad overhaul. Fifteen average players and not a single game-changer.

Exactly this. I didn’t think Alcaraz was anonymous either, though he majorly tired in the second half.

Comes to something when Theo and Moussa look a lot better than some of the more lauded players.

Yep. The £60m in the summer and £40m in January should have been spent on 3 or 4 top quality players. We could have still invested in players with resale value at 22-24 rather than 18-19.

Huge opportunity and resources wasted. The future is very uncertain.

 

Still we've got A Armstrong! Someone who'll tear it up in the Championship next season (despite not testing a L2 goalkeeper once)

Honestly, apart from JWP and Lavia they're dross. Utter utter dross. Not a single leader or fighter amongst them. Not one who I think could do a job for us next year. Look at the state of this squad for the money spent. Massive gross incompetence.

As said elsewhere, Selles might not be the man but from now on all anger and dissatisfaction goes straight at the players.

If you are a ‘PL’ player and you can’t put a shift in against a mid table L2 club then that is on you.

 

Yep, you can have all the ability in the world, but if you aren't playing for the shirt, then it doesn't matter. That's why I'd be starting Bednarek over either of these clowns. And just makes the decision to get rid of Redmond so f*cking strange.

 

Theo and Moussa can start on Saturday TBH. At least they'll give 100%.
