Does this ref actually know the rules. How did he not hand out a yellow card for the pull back on Moura?
They should be down to 10 and another booked. We haven't been good, far from it, but big decisions change games. This ref is not good enough.
0-0 HT. Did alright, but failed to create anything, as usual. Looked very dodgy at the back on the few occasions that mattered, too. Hojbjerg and Sarr should swap, as they both look better in slightly different positions.
No mention of a studs in shin foul in half time analysis but time to talk about City players on loan a Sheffield United
Sarr just looks good. And Lucas has probably been the best forward. Has linked play quite well, although made a couple of bad decisions and appears to be taking shooting lessons from Johnny Wilkinson!
Moura's done pretty well, apart from his final ball. He's taking too long to make a decision, which is true of most of our players, to be fair. Lovely turns and runs in midfield, though. Rugby tackles on him appear to be allowed, unfortunately.
This seems very similar to last seasons 5th round tie played on the same date last year at championship opposition, we lost that one 1-0 and I am expecting much the same here. As a side note last year I was on a short break in Bournemouth this year I am once again away though in slightly sunnier Malta! But omens are omens
Southampton have pulled one back. All ties to be decided on the night, of course. One more for extra-time and the rest.
That’s generally standard Lucas. He’s our version of a Traore/ Saint-Maximin/ Bolasie. Has exciting attributes and on a YouTube comp would look amazing but when you watch him play on a regular basis you ask yourself just what does he actually do? He’ll score a worldy now that I’ve said that though.
Everything I feared about us spending £60m on Richarlison is fully on show for everyone to see. Works hard but not much quality.
After Sarr Sarr Toure bangs in a rocket, Lucas is doing a Messi vs Getafe type goal. You heard it here first, bro.
