Both reams undergoing re-org of playing style at the moment (with Wales being in a far deeper trough) .
Foakes has done well behind the stumps. If Bairstow returns, it should be for Crawley, not Foakes - and they can work out who should open. England did well to get the last 5 wickets for 28 when the game could have slipped away from them despite NZ following on. Should knock off the 200 or so needed comfortably. Brook’s 186 made him strong favourite for a 4th successive MotM award, but bowling Williamson out must have nailed it on now!
Watched the game until the the end , congratulations to NZ and a big kick up the arse to the England team for throwing the game by taking on the bouncers too often , Baseball is all well and good but there comes a time when basic cricket will do
Disappointing. Stokes was playing in a very measured way. He and Root, in particular, were going well. They needed about 55 with 5 wickets on hand. There were loads of overs left. Why did he need to start playing as if it was a T20 game?
Stokes is carrying a knee injury, he will have to pull out of the IPL if he wants to take part in the Ashes series , I saw his knee lock out a couple of times last night and listening the Steve Harmison's thoughts on him and the damage he did to himself on the Caribbean tour , Stokes needs to step back and get the knees sorted if he wants a longer career
Was planning to take the 3hr trek to Dublin next Saturday to check out a couple of potential new cars and Mrs LotS wanted to take in IKEA (), then thought that maybe going up on Paddy's Day weekend might not be the best option. However, in the unlikely event that I can get a ticket for the Aviva to see IRE v ENG then I may just risk it! Wish me luck!
I was extremely proud of the England Rugby union team not showing up to the game on Saturday in support of the boy Lineker
The WBA have ordered Usyk to fight Dubois. They obviously watched that shambles with Joshua on the weekend.
Any tips for the Grand National? The winner is bound to be Irish. Top trainer Willie Mullins has his top jockey Paul Townend on Gaillard du Mesnil at 12/1. Worth a £1
A timely reminder about the name you saw splashed all over the Hunger Games Grand National earlier https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...sting-failure-awarded-new-347m-covid-contract
