Bristol City star signs new contract to complete impressive turnaround with the Robins It's taken Max O'Leary seven years since his debut, but the Bristol City academy product can firmly call himself the Robins No1 https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-city-star-signs-new-8193301
A nice chunk of money in the bank plus a loan back sounds fabulous to me. If he can keep himself off the treatment bench then it could be a good summer for both parties.
Be bit of a bastard if we manage to get promoted next season, only to then lose Scott for our first season back in the top flight.
That’s not going to happen. To get in the play-offs you usually need 70+ points, which means we need to win at least 9 of our remaining 13 games. I really don’t see that happening.
That’s this season, I said next season. Top 10 is the best we can hope for this. I imagine where we are now is realistically around where we’ll finish this.
Yes - and he says he's still has it somewhere. His favourite though is the Thorn Security shirt, he had the home shirt and I still have the away yellow/green shirt.
CRICKET .... England lose by 1 run. declared first innings after 1 ball of 88th over which allowed ROOT to get ?150?
I always liked the white away 'Thorn Security' shirt. Classy, like when we were in the old 1st Division
Osman was manger 93-94 so after Hire rite. Would have been Blackthorn Cider http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Bristol_City/Bristol_City.htm
Would you believe I still have that white away shirt from 76/77. It bloody shrunk after a few years, or I got bigger, but still have it tucked safely away.
Bristol City chairman summarises season so far and discusses Nigel Pearson's contract Nigel Pearson's deal with the club expires in the summer of 2024 having recently celebrated his two-year anniversary in charge https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport...s/bristol-city-nigel-pearson-contract-8206094 Jon seems to be playing cat and mouse games with Nige, it's a case of wait and see, we are doing okay at the moment but maybe he is still feeling bruised from earlier activities.
Perhaps JL is assessing performance against the objectives that were set for Nige this season? None of us know what those are, if it's to avoid relegation (a low bar imo), then he is well in credit, if it was mid-table, then he's on track, if it was play-off's, (over ambitious imo) then he is behind the expectation. There are 13 games left to see where this group of players, with a few gone, and a few new ones in since the end of Jan. Only at the end of the season can any us us, including JL make any meaningful assessment of our performance, and potential trajectory for next season. Right now, I think he's doing pretty well. I think he has finally sorted out the defence, and we look much tighter at the back now, a BIG improvement.
