Great effort again from Nige and the lads Could happily get very used to saying this week after week !!
Just as an aside… how is the pitch standing up? With the Lionesses having played on it on Thursday, City today and Man City to come on Tuesday, it’s certainly being put through it’s paces!!
It did look a little tattered in places but overall I think we have a great playing surface that can stand the test of use.
with a minimal amount of rain recently, [ground should be firmish ] but being cold grass will not grow usually it does a little bit in winter month's when not cold/ frosty.
They have artificial lights and undersoil heating to encourage growth, it’s not just left to the elements
Managed to watch patches of the game due to family duties......Both teams looked a bit out of sorts if I'm honest which made it all a bit scrappy... Mehmeti MoM for me....Penalties for us are like buses, none for eternity but then two at once..... Great to have all 3 points, so well done to Nige and the lads for that......lets hope we are able to give Man C a bit of a game, being how easily they destroyed Bournemouth today..
This is about where we always should have been, given the assets at Nige’s disposal. Nice to see us finally get there. Hopefully we can finish top 10 this season now.
Not at all, this I feel (and always said) 10-12th, is where we should be in this division this season. Proven by the fact that the only real addition to the starting 11 this season is Naismith. All the other were here already, Nige just had square pegs in round holes. Now he’s figured it out, we are doing better. We really shouldn’t be dropping any lower than where we are now come that end of the season.
So you are basically saying despite playing square pins in round holes for most of the season, we are where we should be had we played round pins in round holes all along?, which is a backhanded compliment surely?
No, we are about where we should be because he is now playing round pegs in round holes, had he carried on as he was, we’d be down with Cardiff. If he had done it earlier, we could be about 10th, maybe higher..
