Shame Conte didn't sit out the Leicester game. We'd be on the fringe of the title race.

It's hard to escape the inclination to believe that we look more motivated, committed and play better individually and collectively in Conte's absence. Okay, we played Chelsea, West Ham and even City when they were in poor form generally, but...

...something's not right and hasn't been for some while...

    Another excellent home win.

Last three home games we've beaten Man City, West Ham and Chelsea and haven't conceded a goal in those games. Conte coming back too soon seemed to have a negative impact for the away thrashing at Leicester.

Romero was just superb today, such a brilliant defender and if we can get two other CB'S in the summer near his ability then I think our team can do something special.

So pleased for young Skippy with that brilliant goal. He's a coaches dream, so disciplined and has great tactical knowledge for someone so young.

Emerson Royale yet again superb and imo our 2nd best player today. He's so all action, defensively excellent and has really honed his attacking game by coming inside more to support the midfield two.

Dier , Lenglet and Hojbjerg very good too especially 2nd half.

Richarlison put another hard working shift in but just no end product . We just need Kulu and Son to pick up their form and I firmly believe we will get 4th and I fingers crossed win the FA Cup.

Too early IMHO to say this, but we will know more
about the truth of it by the end of the month.

It's not really a 1/1 comparison, though, as a Skipp/Hojbjerg pivot sees Hojbjerg play more of a box-to-box role, when Hojbjerg/Bentancur sees him play a deeper role

All in all a satisfying afternoon, and I don't know how it could be improved

...what's that? A new Ahoy video just dropped? And it's an Iconic Arms vid?

Wouldn't disagree with that except you missed out Ben Davies, who was excellent as usual. Both WB's are earning their corn these days! :emoticon-0148-yes:

Rarely if ever lets us down, criminally underrated by portions of this fanbase.

My type of player. Total professional on and off the pitch. And you can see just how popular he is with his teammates. Mr Reliable! :emoticon-0148-yes:

Just watched the MOTD2 footage and their mantra of "the right decision was made".
    What a load of bollocks.

Ziyech is about to get a yellow for the foul on Richarlison, then he pushes Emerson in the face.
It's either a yellow and a red or two yellows. Even he knew he was going off.
Attwell was **** throughout and VAR appeared to ignore Thiago elbowing Romero, too.
Another week, another ****ing shambles. We'll get a decision soon, I'm sure...

Ironically, his ****eness helped us because instead of blowing the whistle every time their players hit the deck he tended to let the game flow (copyright Mark Clusterfuck, 2016) so the game wasn't as bitty as it could have been
