I haven't given up yet mate, she was definitely interested and may be losing her mind by now... ... early onset dementia is my last hope
what option is missing? “Not signing other striking options is very frustrating, and so continue to be bothered about it even though I didn’t expect to make the play-offs at the start of the season and we can’t do anything about it”
If we go on a run, make the play-offs and win at Wembley I wonder how many will admit they spoke too early ... ... Luton, Millwall and Blackburn are all in the top six and all shyte. Luton play Millwall on Tuesday, btw, so someone's dropping points and they play each other again at Millwall in April. In March Luton go to Sheff Utd then Sunderland ... ... are people saying Sheff Utd and us can't beat Luton at home ffs. They're only 4 points ahead and have won 1 game in the last 4. A defeat away to a very good Coventry team, plus their ref, and we're f*cking doomed
We still have a chance - the chubby lass hasn't started gargling yet, never mind chanting. But enough of my marital problems!
Just had a quick look back at our results and the last 7 league games we played with a no9 we picked up 11 points, we've picked up 8 from our last 6 games without one. If we beat Stoke we will have exactly the same return with or without a no9. As had been said many times we all know we needed another striker but we didn't get one and I'm afraid that every time we get beat we will just have to accept the some people will always blame the defeat on not having a striker. I think we got beat yesterday because Robbins did his homework and got it spot on, we actually had chances and had we took them may have been different. I know Martin has been mentioned, I personally don't think he would bring the same as RS does. Not many strikers that would have been available would do. I also think we've achieved a lot more than most fans expected at the start of the season. Most of us would have been happy with a mid table finish however we've spent most of the season near the play offs so fans expectations have changed. I'll be happy if we progress from the previous season each year, I'm sure that was the goal, I'm sure KLD mentioned his aim is to be back in the Premier league in 5 years, floating around the play offs after 2 looks like we are heading in the right direction
We’re averaging 1.15 goals and 1.07 points per league games where we don’t have a Ross or Ellis involved As opposed to 1.62 goals and 1.66 points a game where they are
There’s a weakness across the club, short of numbers in the first team and no-one coming through the ranks as a replacement line e.g. a Craig Russell. We’ve done brilliantly well in all the youngsters we’ve brought in but just haven’t picked up anyone for that no. 9 berth anywhere through the squads. I don’t expect perfection, the plan was a probably a good one on paper but circumstances change. Everton were fannies, RS got crocked, some other plans didn’t come off. But we also have that weakness with no youngster coming though at 19/20 years old I’m aware of. Enough of all this, going to spend next 90 mins as die hard Man Utd fan.
We are having a blip and need to adjust how we approach games. Tony included. Will be plenty of twists and turns yet.
I thought it was obvious, plenty of people think it was a mistake but not necessarily criminal, that’s just an attempt to get bites. Passed it now anyway. Up to our gaffer to try and find a solution up front.
