Morning all. Bright and dry again. Some places in France have not seen any rain for over a month now, and without snow melt coming down from the mountains, serious concerns are growing about what will be in the reservoirs this summer. The cranes have all left now. What might well have been a thousand of them in a large field of stubble, slowly decreased as they spread out into adjoining fields looking for food. Normally they might come down for an overnight roost before continuing south, so to stay for so long suggests they somehow knew the middle of France would be far enough this year. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

Morning all. What a change from yesterday. In the afternoon I was reinstating my deer and boar fencing around my veggie plot in warm sunshine. I was thinking about getting some crops going under cover. Of course, I was getting ahead of myself, as today it is cooler, grey and wet. Mid-February is a bit early for most things, although onions or shallots will be alright if you can stop the birds pulling them up. The forecast suggests that the rain will be limited to today, so maybe I will get back to it tomorrow. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

Morning all. Totally overcast today, but mild and dry. The ground is still wet from yesterday's rain, so will keep off it and hope it dries out a bit. So off to the very large DIY store in Limoges to buy some timber to repair one of the seats I have down the fields. The price of timber has gone through the roof here, but it will still be cheaper than a new seat, and I can prepare and varnish the new wood in the barn on another rainy day. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

    Hola @ tod@s

Not much to report here, the year has started ok, been out a lot in the Sierra de Lobos in Jalisco, and loving the rugged semi desert nature.

Got a mate coming over in Easter, not seen him in 16 years, so will do a good bit of sightseeing in Mexico City. So, this village idiot is seeing what is what there to see and do.

    Take care all.

Morning all. Grey again with a light drizzle. Very disappointing. Visited Decathlon yesterday, which I am sure many will know is a large sports equipment supplier. It is a large warehouse type building, surrounded by acres of concrete car parking, which if you leave your car on it during summer can roast you when you return. Over the past couple of months, a large area has been covered with structures to provide shade. Better still, all the roofs have solar panels on them. A government edict has brought about this measure that helps both customers and EDF at the same time. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

I have three daughters, and I remember when they were small and delightful. I feel so sorry tonight for a nine and six-year-old, who will probably have to learn that they have lost their mother in the most distressing of circumstances.

I am sure that many of us will have grown up watching this man on TV.

With huge sadness we announce Dickie Davies passed away this morning. So proud of his 20 years of World of Sport, 3 Olympic Games and a brilliant career on the telly. He is survived by a loving wife, two adoring sons, four grandkids and two beloved dogs. <rose>

Morning all. A clear blue sky and the temperature is expected to reach 19°C this afternoon. Just right for gardening, except another trip to the physio is booked. A new scam has arrived on my mobile phone. Click on the link, and you can have €35 returned from your speeding fine. Seeing as I have avoided paying such fines for three years, it looked dodgy from the start. To think they only wanted my bank details. I wonder how many folks get caught out by this one? Have a good day everyone. <ok>

Morning all. A quite chilly start to the day, but the forecast says it will warm up nicely. Need to try and do many things outside today, as rain is expected tomorrow. It is only February, but already the keen gardeners have rows of salad growing, and one that I pass from time to time has tomatoes in individual little tents. I can only think that they have different weather to me. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

Afternoon all. Seems that the server went down, and took quite a time to be restored. The forecast was right, it is grey and wet today. Managed to get a lot done outside yesterday, even if I fell over a roll of pig wire backwards. Luckily, the grass was dry and the ground soft, so no harm done. Enjoy your day. <ok>

Morning all. No break in the cloud cover, with rain on and off. The Thursday trip to the physio, then I will start preparing the new slats for my garden seat. I noticed that the blackthorn down the fields is just starting to show a few white flowers. As this seems to be the cause of my hay fever like symptoms, should I wear one of my coronavirus masks? Have a good day everyone? <ok>

Morning all. Wet again, so any chance of gardening has gone. Better go and do the shopping and get that over with. Last week there were still good offers in the cave, but I didn't buy any. I hope the offers are still there, as I need some now. This football is an expensive business. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

Morning all. Gloomy and trying to rain again. An eventful trip to the bread machine as a delivery van tried to put me in the ditch. He failed as I spotted him coming towards me and stopped. My purse was not done up, shot off the seat, so I had a footwell full of small change. At the bread machine a cycling club was stocking up on pain au chocolat, so a wait while they emptied it. Oh well, at least I returned with my loaf. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

<rose> A real gent. And regular visitor to Vicarage Road in the punters’ seats. Not a fan, but he came here often a while ago.
