Hull White loves us, muppet. Re: New Owners? Quote Post by Hull White » Sat Feb 25, 2023 7:53 pm Trust me lads, we need to give Hull City a wide berth. It will not end well. That are a Mickey Mouse club with bigger ambitions than competence. Acun is a decent guy but he will eventually suffer from the same frustration that every other City owner had. Hull is a Rugby League town with two Super League teams, City will always be the third team in the town. This guy has not actually invested any money in the team. You have been warned.
That’s a sad twat talking. Needless to say supports FC and Leeds United. Just had a look at some of his other posts. Too many of his type in Hull. Ever come across a City fan who supports Leeds Rhinos, a far more successful club than the two Hull clubs put together? I haven’t.
I can't say I can call somebody who would claim to support a club and simultaneously claim to support a huge rival of that club a fan. They obviously don't understand how football works.
Sad truth is that it make not one bit of difference what anyone thinks on that thread or this one. Football fans don't get a choice in who buy the clubs they support. You hope their intensions are good but unfortunately, as we know full well, they are not always. As for the bloke posting on there who lives in Hull he seems to hate the place almost as much as Castro
I don’t hate Hull. I want it to have a successful football club in a thriving city instead of people acting like they live in a small provincial town and constantly saying how bad things are, everybody has no money. Some come across as having a bigger victim mentality than Scousers. Funny how so many of the biggest defenders of Hull who think it is so wonderful choose to live elsewhere. Even when they return to the area they choose to live in East Yorkshire than in the city.
I never said they were our rivals either. I said I dislike them, and, unlike you, don’t hope their manager does well and they stay in the PL. Disliking teams, or to be more accurate their fans, doesn’t mean you think of them as rivals. My, and people of my age disliking the two Sheffield clubs go back to events before you were going. You can add Middlesbrough to that list. Leeds hate Man Utd and Chelsea. The reason for the Chelsea thing goes back before most Leeds fans were born. Doesn’t mean they are rivals. They haven’t been for years.
Middlesbrough are a genuine huge rival though, the smoggy ****s. They just aren’t fully aware of the fact yet.
No they aren’t. And they don’t consider us as rivals either. Though they are ****s. Though as you wish all Yorkshire teams to do well I would have thought you would have wanted them to do well.

The TWF derby has been established for a good number of years now and trust me it’s pretty fierce. Some of the antics have already resulted in several forum bans.
Insightful article coming out of Ireland regarding multiclubs, spurred on no doubt by the latest attempt to acquire one of their clubs https://www.the42.ie/multi-club-ownership-ireland-6001581-Feb2023/
https://m.independent.ie/sport/soccer/l ... 60848.html Apparently hull held talks with Drogheda before Christmas but ended up dead in the water. Now it appears that the Bournemouth link to us is also a non runner.
These Irish Clubs want investment but whatever Acun is offering doesn't seem to be making the cut.....yet...Drogheda dead in the water; Dundalk...very different takes on this from either side of the sea and why would Acun be publicly visible at Shelbourne, if the Dundalk deal is "imminent?" The Drogheda one is worrying because he seems to have targeted them first. If that is because of some tentative traditional Trazbonspor "link" then the comraderie side of his mentality (think Shota) is getting the better of his business sense again.
I do rather hope it’s Shelbourne, Tolka Park remains one of my favourite grounds I’ve ever visited and a pre season trip there would be too difficult to resist.
