I said last week I think Forest will get dragged back in, their goal difference is terrible. They’ve got Everton next, that will be interesting, just a shame we’re away to Chelsea
Got to say I questioned pulling Gnonto off but moving Harrison to that side and bringing Sommerville on the right worked. Maybe, just maybe this Gracia might do the job, one Swallow and all but I reckon he got that call right which was a big one to make. And well done to Firpo, the LB we thought we were getting may have just arrived. My favourite restaurant tonight with my favourite wine and cocktails after, get my thoughts down now cos there aren't going to be any tomorrow!
Forest are terrible. Lady luck has shone brightly on them this season. Another to keep an eye on is Palace. They've only won once since November themselves. I know alot of people don't like stats but Palace should be bottom three in the league.
I'm hoping to catch the highlights but I really don't care how we played. Strangely it's even better, in my opinion, that we left it late and won by the odd goal. That takes balls. The clean sheet is also vital because we're going to need a few of tyem in the tough games coming up. MOT
Just proves it’s a result game. None of this ah but we played great against scum for 80 minutes. We did and got nothing and personally felt rotten afterwards. Today was shocking mostly, hopeless opposition but important thing we deservedly sneaked the three points. Feels bloody great regardless of how we got them
“Amazing support from the owners, Victor and Angus”? Unless I am mistaken, he didn’t say “Andrea”? Could be wrong and bring on the druggy comments if I am. Anyway, don’t really give a balls tbh. When Eire met Norman Hunter, apparently, he was a blubbering wreck (Eire not Norman even though Eire does erect an amazing sign by all accounts). When the final whistle went today, I was Eire. I had talked to Jan and Ben during the game saying I am ok with going down ( Jan knows that anyway). When the commentator said we had won one in twenty, I was like, “where is the fun in that”? I am ok with relegation but, **** me, I had forgotten what a win feels like. That is gold, that is magic, that will make my whole week so much better. Chinese arriving soon and I could have been sitting here knowing relegation is a certainty, now it’s only a possibility. Funny isn’t it, fourth from bottom and I feel on top of the world. Last thing(s) I want to say, and not to vindicate myself in any way but, when we scored, Victor had to take his glasses off because he was crying. When the fans changed the Bamford song to Junior Firpo, I had to take my glasses off for the same reason. It matters, of course it matters because that is the whole point of it but, is there any point in being so brutal to our own sometimes?
Ok, less of the Eire and the blubbering. In fairness though had I known Norman would only be around for a few more months, I’d have had a complete conniption
Great feeling to get a win… and get some hope… as javi said, nothing wrong with the performances, the side just needs a result. And as some guy called milky said… we just need to shin one in and it could all change. Up comes firpo with a scuffer… instead of a shinner… that was so poorly hit the keeper dived over it. Outstanding and about fckng time we got a break. Let’s hope we can build on it.
