Getting relegated from the premier league for non-domestic based fans is really ****. Really hard (if at all) to find and consistent weekly televised saints games from anywhere outside the UK. Back when we were in L1 I remember betting 2 dollars on some sketchy non-english betting site just to gain access to their really average private stream of the match. Ah good times.
We don’t / can’t beat the teams around us. Lose to Chelsea, beat Leeds & it looks much better but we don’t. We can’t score from open play. We have a number of very sub standard players, who get game time every week. We’re exactly where we deserve to be.
**** it. Looks like we are done. Some serious rabbits out of the hat needed. Maybe our lucks up, but I didn’t expect our own board to stick the boot in! Hopefully in the not too distant future we’ll have some happy days again.
Well, the Sports Republic experiment has failed and while the rest of the PL clubs say “I told you it wouldn’t work” the only consolation we have is a readymade ownership mentality that has always been Championship standard at best. Rasmus is already putting in the data to see what choices he has left for his summer holidays, the ****er.
SR haven’t spent a lot of money on players, they have spent a lot of money on ASSETS. They haven’t looked at it as building a team first to protect the golden egg of the Premier League. They have just looked to bring in promising youngsters with the intention of selling them on for a profit. End result, with maybe the exception of Lavia and Edozie, their value hasn’t increased.
Reason to be optimistic Whilst we can't beat any of the clubs around us, we still have 6 of the big 7 to play.
It felt like Selles, like a lot of fans, got sucked into the "don't change a winning team" mantra. Something which I've never agreed with. To even have a sniff of a chance, we've got to be playing our best players. Can't be leaving out the likes of KWP, Alcarez and DCC, in favour of the likes of Bednarek, AMN and Ely. Can't be subbing off Sulemana in favour of Theo. I have no idea if Selles is good enough or not; none of us do. My guess though is that we'll just drift away from here, barely winning a game, and we'll decide to start afresh with someone else in charge next season.
We're in for some absolute hammerings before the end of the season. Why the f*ck is Bree playing in the B-team? And Edozie? Straight away Bree for AMN (if KWP isn't match-fit), and Edozie for Elyou.
Absolutely agree. Though to be fair to Walcott, he hasn't been any worse than Sulemana, who honestly looks lost.
What the **** is a melt? Bollocks to giving up we're not down until the numbers say we are. What the **** do you mean by sucking this joke of a football club? ****ing boo boys bollocks.
Yeah some mental decisions Alcaraz is miles better than Ely. AMN is much worse than KWP & Bree. I understand keeping him in after his good performance but it was obvious after 20 minutes he is still ****e. Unforgivable. Bazunu is awful. JWP was having a really good game on the ball, we moved him forward and from then on he did **** all except press. theo over edozie is genuinely mental to me
There was zero tempo or intensity in that performance. Walking pace throughout, just so poor apart from Lavia. Attackers completely anonymous
One thing that I thought should be common sense from owners is don't give contracts to caretakers based on one or two games. Things always go tits up once a contract has been awarded.
The existing players will be the ones sending us down, not the new additions. Bar JWP I don't think anyone else has even come close to stepping up this season.
It's all on SR. Appointing NJ was a MASSIVE mistake and has dropped us in the **** that it is too late to recover. Someone needs to accept responsibility for that calamitous desicion as it will cost the club financially and may take a very long time to correct. If I ****ed up to that extent in my job there would be no hesitation in ending my employment, have you got the balls Dragan to act? If not you have spunked close to £100m and it's money down the drain.
yeah this completely. By all means blame SR for appointing Jones but their summer signings have actually been good in the main (too soon to know about the Jan signings), it’s the tragic group of ****s we already had who are the reason we are going down
