Please accept my apologies but I am not able to police the site as I would wish for the past few weeks/next few months but Super and I discussed things this morning and have agreed a plan (which Super was going to PM to Jon I think?) Jon had been quite good and only posted on his own thread for a few weeks but late last week he started to stray. Super and I have agreed that (at the present time) this is not acceptable and are taking action to ensure this stops. In time and if Jon could control himself, I would like to agree with Super (and all other posters here) that Jon could have the same freedoms as those enjoyed by all other Not606 members on here but as this is currently not viable, his restrictions have to be enforced and they will be! Super and I are operating a sort of 'cobweb theory' model to this problem so until we reach a state equilibrium, Jon will fluctuate between a mutually acceptable contribution level and activity that the general consensus finds unacceptable. I believe that these fluctuations are getting less extreme and may (some time in 2012) disappear altogether. We will then be left with Jon's past misdemeanors which people will have to deal with as their own consciences allow.
I agree with IA, he speaks sense, charltonpat no offence you come across as a bit of a teapot flicker, the Mods have put AckAck on a leash, he sometime strays, but then they pull him back and make him smell where he did a wee or poo in the wrong place, not an actual wee or poo obviously but a post, and then all is good, but then some beetroot baggers just want to follow AckAck round the internet, sticking signposts in all the poos and wees they can find, and I think they are sad and that is you no offence.
It serves a purpose as the rules are continually broken to the irritation of many other posters. Even on the ignore mode, the threads which were added continue to disrupt the board. I know you may find it funny and mock but I find it trivialises the board and takes away from the reasoned discussion.
I must be alone in finding all of your posts obnoxious. If you read the posts I've made on here already they are mainly about the club, Preston game and players. Whatever teapot flicker or beetroot bagger means it's name calling, petty and insulting. Pointing out the irritation of threads cluttering the board on irrelevant material when there are clear boundaries is not. Just like your threads pandering to people's prejudices, I don't see many about the team and club except poking fun at people because of their sexuality or such like. You also need to separate people's irritation and anger when rules are broken time and time again and deliberately from bullying, insulting, offensive comments and name calling which is something entirely different.
Pat, thought i'd let you know you're not the only one who finds this twat obnoxious, however, i wouldnt worry too much mate, as it seems that mummy has given him a smack on the bottom, and put him to bed after changing his nappy- and he is quite happily sucking his dummy going to sleep thinking of Beetroot Baggers !!
Like TVR, I probably haven't been missed. I will admit to posting on Charlton Life and will continue to do so whilst the leniency is shown towards someone who: 1 doesn't care about boundaries that have been set; 2 believes that changing his name changes the rules; and 3 continues to post drivel. I will continue to monitor Not606 and wish you guys who have volunteered to be his carers the best with your self imposed challenge
Everyone who departs this board is missed, SVC. The more of us who contribute, the wider are the views and the richer the debate. I thoroughly respect your decision and hope you'll soon be able to post regularly again.
Sorry geezer no offence, you're completely coathook, you accuse me of being offensive when I have never been offensive to anyone, and I even make sure to say no offence just in case I have been by accident, but you then in the same post you call me a **** and say that I sleep with my mum, how can you even think of things like that, you sound like a total egg pickler no offence, please apologise to me at once.
i promise i keep to my threads if want to start a new topic have my word -----i only changed my name as couldnt find all my passwords to log in i think the clocks going back didnt help plus little ones turning off computer peace to all and respect
I don't find insulting other posters who put forward reasoned views funny, can't understand why any reasonable person would stoop so low. The posters who post here less and less obviously don't either as it's another example of spoiling the board with in this case personal smears.
Its more the nature of the insults I find amusing, I wouldn't feel offended if someone called me a tea-pot flicker. You're right though, personal insults (of any nature) can't be condoned on a public forum.
I have done a smear on you personally you say, please tell me when this was and what did I smear on you, I hope it was something normal like peanut butter or mackerel pate, rather than something icky, either way I don't think I have ever met you, I might be wrong but I would never smear stuff over anyone until I'd had at least three dates with them, two in the pub and one in a zoo or museum, so I think you might have just thought it up in a dream, also are you a Patrick or a Patricia, if the latter I have never courted a Patricia, if the former then ditto plus also, and I am not going to criticise you, each to their own, good luck to you, but I am not interested in smearing stuff over another man, sorry no offence but I'm not gay lol, I hope you understand and we can still be (just) friends.
