Wish Cappello would just go. Don't think we would win the tournament if he did, but surely he can't be getting the most from the squad. And his selections are messed up. No Richards, but Johnson in - crazy. But really I think it's a question of mentalities are Cappello's and the England team just don't fit. I'd like to see Venables back just for the tournament; totally understands the mentality, excellent tournament record, tactics reflect modern flexible pass and move.
Probably fairly inconsequential, but I'd put Steele and Green ahead of Carson and Stockdale. Also Johnson ahead of Richards is insane. Does Capello have scouts at his disposal?
The true strength (or lack of) of this squad is revealed when you pick an 11 out of it and Spains squad. Only Ashely Cole gets in mine

HOW IS RICHARDS NOT IN THE SQUAD ARE YOU HAVING A LAUGH. I hope that he has an injury because otherwise I am staggered that Capello has left him out Parker has to play and be captain, he's been immense this season.
