quite like the new shirt- but what is going on, another new shirt;?

 

I've got photos from way back (1990ish)of my 9 year old boy skiing in the French Alps wearing SuperBob's shirt.
His favourite ever shirt.

 

I believe that the constant changing of shirt designs is purely to sell more product, rather like the clamour for new smart phones.

 

It’s to do with the new shirts are never in stock due to supply issues. We had a 6 year deal with previous supplier but struggling to get supplies so pulled the plug.

 

Cheers Wiz, some thinking it’s a ploy from the club is not true. Distribution issues I don’t even know if the first team could get kits and wearing old one.
Glad the club acted quickly.

 

Talking of wearing old kits, the “new” ones are old ones from the 80’s. You can almost see where Hirerite has been taken off the front, and Huboo added in its place

Changing the kit so often is worse than school uniforms which are compulsory nowadays for around 12 years?.. [ cost wise ] often some parts of it are unique so only chosen school supplier gets the exhorbitant profit! I have over the past 12 years had a number of different shirts made [ Tee/ polo/ longsleeve ] and used only the best quality suppliers for the base unit before it,s printed I have 2009 tee shirts still printed been worn once or twice a week still in very presentable condition and although they at the time printed in 2009 were about £4 now they are £6 Football type shirt we had done in 2011 were £8 printed and still wearable ... cost now about £12... How much is a BCFC medium size shirt!!!!! ...................
[ bearing in mid bulk order cost ? we bought x 25's had we bought x 50's would have got 20% discount! ]

 

Yes, I like them. I do feel for people that bought this seasons strip earlier in the year though, it’s a lot of money for half a season.

 

Some people are complaining about using a relatively small company to supply our new kit. Personally as long as the quality is good I’d rather us be a big fish in a small pond, than a small fish in a big pond. The larger manufacturers are going to look after their bigger customers, the Manures of this world, rather than us. We are one of the bigger clubs that use this company. That’s to our advantage and imo.

 

can remember all of those bar Drury / Showell & Savino for some reason! Always a joy to watch, sometimes even when we lost!

 

Only one I can't remember is George Showell. The photo also highlights how short Mike Gibson was against his team mates. Great keeper though!!

 

I sort of have in back of mind, I used to play football with some called Sherwell .. will google them as I finish my Cuppa...

 

well vague memories of Savino a winger ... Showell only played 11 games DRURY think he arrived in 62 stayed a while couldnt get a wiki doesnt ring any bells yet though

 

Didn’t we own our own brand once upon a time called Nibor - which is Robin spelt backwards??
