Karius was always just ****, a lot of folk on here were never convinced and told we were just negative as per. sometimes folk just call it like they see it. I really don't know why some folk then need to make a big deal out if it and go nuts just cos the player in question wears an LFC shirt.
Really struggling to think of anyone who thought Karius wasnt garbage. There was support fot him because he wore the shirt and Jurgen bought him. But nobody pretended he wasn't hapless, God help him.
I think he was unfortunate rather than hapless Tbf And I still think he has time and ability to redeem himself
Yeah, I remember being rather underwhelmed by that video. It's a common trope that anyone can be made to look good on YouTube, but he broke the mould on that one. I did feel sorry for him at the CL final, but in truth that was just the worst of his calamities, not the only one.
Alisson is obviously the far better keeper,but then he cost about 15 times what Karius did so..........you get what you pay for.
We've had so many bad backup keeps (and even first team keepers) over the years. Karius is always going to be the famous "bad-keeper" because of that final. Truth is, we have had much worse, they just didn't get much first team action.
I'm in a quandary - I like Geordies and I used to have a soft spot for Newcastle, but I can't stomach the idea of their owners winning things, I just can't. On the other hand, who wants Man U to win anything? *sigh* -life is full of such irreconcilable conflicts, innit? I will be interested to see Karius play though, haven't seen much of him since he shipped out.

proves me right I'd focus more on pre cl. the guy threw a howler in v spurs when they scored from outside the box for 2-2. fairly sure that'll coincide with end of 11 match clean sheets or whatever. there's a period there when vvd came in that should have a few defending the guy.
probably because he has barely played since then and hasn't at all for 2 years despite being under contract for the whole period .
