As a nation we have the second most diverse beer industry in the world, second, only just, to the USA, which is also however many times our size. Maybe stay out of lager dominated high street chain bars and pubs and you will see it’s all there. FACT.
FFS can "everyone" PLEASE give it a ****ing rest on the pointless beer argument. Or at least get a different thread. This is a potentially interesting/dramatic change of direction for the City project and we are butting heads over completely irrelevant ****.
The HDM comments section is the equivilent of going into Moderation in town and asking people what they think of the current economic situation/Brexit/government immigration policy. You will get plenty of response but finding anything worth listening to is unlikely and you're more likely to come away with more questions than you had in the first place. HDM comments and facebook pages are best left for a certain type of fan. You get a much better standard of supporter on here dont you know?
Yet you would struggle to find an American beer worth drinking. Though there are some I have a cousin living in New York who comes across some, more so when visiting out of the way places, but the mainstream ones are over cold crap.
Juliper has 40% of the beer market in Belgium, not that it will bother Stella, they're both owned by the same brewery.
We are not talking about mainstream shipped beers like carlsberg or budweiser But unique beers made in the plethora or breweries up and down the nation
Will it go ahead? Have things altered in the last month? https://www.independent.ie/sport/so...chair-says-club-is-not-for-sale-42301122.html
This is an early slight issue with Liam I am noticing. He sometimes talks as if he has been there and done it all and it is not a good look for someone who has achieved zero as a very raw manager. Its a bit disrespectful for a manager of his months to be suggesting another team plays the way he wants because he might occasionally send a few kids there. If Pep or Klopp say it and there is a clear vision of how it will all work fair enough but at the moment that sort of talk is not needed, the deal is not even confirmed. Get your head down like Michael Carrick and let the results do the talking.
That article is from over a month ago and so are the comments. I'd be surprised if there is absolutely nothing in it. EDIT: In reply to the none double post
Dundalk can do what it wants, and ideally you could say every owner of every football club would be local. Would be nice if Hull City was I guess, but if you want any ambition that's often not likely now. By all accounts their club is in a terrible condition Their floodlights are very old, the surface there is terrible and there are plenty of injuries to players through it. And they've also had several takeovers in more recent times that haven't really had an impact. So obviously Hull City could help it, even though some likely only think in terms of a brief ownership before they take it back over in improved condition for some local person (who couldn't do much on their own). They can be proud of their history while still looking to move forward and be open to outside investment. If not Dundalk we might find another club that's amenable to us, maybe in a comparable or better league, maybe even with better facilities. As is the norm I suppose some of them are talking down Hull City like they don't think we are that much of a club. Historically we are a second tier team, our record attendance being 55,000, our record buy 15 million, our record sale 21 million. They seem to consider themselves third tier of English league standard, I can't say how accurate that is. It has a relatively small population of 35,000 while Hull's properly estimated would be about 323,000. Fleetwood, a recent non-league club, have taken over another Irish team and I guess there hasn't been problems with that. Someone here said Dundalk went toe to toe with Arsenal, we've beat Arsenal in the league and frightened them to death in the FA Cup final. So Hull City is not 'bang average'. Even in the past we had our own railway station and the biggest floodlights in Europe. We may not be fashionable but we underachieved in the past. We've had a Turkish owner take over us and few complained. And he did bring in players he knew, and a manager he knew as well. Some even said he did it to help Fenerbahçe. He said he wanted a specific style of play (that most likely has been modified now). But people bought into the vision and had hope than pessimism, that he would learn and help the club, even though we have also had some questionable owners at times in our history.
