The signs are that we won't. Like others before him, he appears to be a commodity to be traded in the transfer/loans markets.
After being down 0-2 at halftime, two goals in a minute from Adrian Blake bring the score level - with 30 minutes left to play.
I see the Papa Gueye guy is still causing us grief - thought this had been settled a good while ago. https://sportwitness.co.uk/club-wai...on-involving-watford-trying-sign-e10m-player/
We won the case but they appealed. If we do win we may be in for quite a nice bit of compensation. All that fuss and he hasn't even stayed there!
And if they win the appeal, it would be a mockery of the whole concept of player contracts imo. On the other hand, it may lead to the club being more discerning in their transfer dealings - meaning less dross being signed.
If this is to be believed, the departure of Manaj was a "strategic termination" - done in order to avoid the resale clause in his transfer from Barcelona. And, once fully fit, he's off to Udinese. Sounds a bit underhand to me. https://sportwitness.co.uk/strategi...tford-exit-pozzo-seriously-thinking-transfer/
Usual dodgy dealings then ?! Mind you not sure who would have paid any money for him tbh . Surely Udinese don’t need need the player .
They're losing a forward in the summer apparently, so could be to replace him. That may want to get rid of Success too - he hasn't lived up to his name there either.
Didn't help he got injured about 4 games in and then re-injured again after missing an open goal in that Hull game. Think I only saw the bloke play twice - wasn't that good but one was in a League Cup tie which no-one ever seems to play well in. Mind you people seem to be piling on Davis now for his lack of goals and positive play. Really do need to get a goalscorer or two next season but also fans need to give them a bit of a chance.
Seems to be more pressure after Saturday on Bilic - big run of games coming up with fixtures against teams people expect to beat. Particularly with key players coming back to fitness and the team looking more like a first choice side. But we as know all too well the Championship doesn’t have easy games ! I can see why there is criticism of him maybe due to his in game management and subs but we have just had 3 tough games and got 4 points - which could have been 6 or 7 with better luck/defending . Trouble is those who don’t like him latch onto the fact Rob Edwards is doing well at Luton (apart from the cup game at Grimsby !) as some sort of stick to beat Bilic with. All very well - just hope they aren’t the same ones who were shouting abuse at the team and management after away games like Blackburn or booing the team off at home . Maybe we just aren’t as good as people think so it doesn’t matter who the manager is ?
