We score most of our goals in the last 18 minutes though, so hopefully they take the first 18 minutes out instead.
Agree, agree and agree 4-4-2 is bollocks - especially when you are putting so many square pegs in round holes 4-2-3-1 please
As always RTB, great thread. I have no idea what the team selection should be. Hopefully TM does. On our day, we can beat any team in this league, a tough test and head says 1-1. Heart says 2-1 to us. Whatever the score, as long as I see 100% effort and bravery, and an attempt to play exciting fluid football Ill be happy....oh and another Luke O'9 piggy back would be priceless Hawaaaaaaaaaaay
The manure manager set the team up for Barcelona first half got it wrong.. changed it 2nd half, that is what TM did. As you say, it will be interesting to see which players are selected in what format on Saturday.
Another great effort RTB agree with the team if there all fit my sensible side says draw 1-1 but the mad red and white bit says 3-1 to the lads COME ON
If anybody hasnt got arrangements yet a possibility. Hi. I’m from Nuneaton Borough FC, we host Coventry City’s away fans before the Cov games, as most don’t want to give Mike Ashley any more money . We are close enough, but far enough for the police to be happy. Loads of space for coaches and cars. (Free) Having away fans helps us massively. If you’d like to book a coach or some space this Saturday. Please drop me a message.
https://www.a-love-supreme.com/single-post/mowbray-on-stewart-contract-hopes Tony Mowbray hopes Sunderland can finalise a new deal for Ross Stewart in the 'near future' in the wake of club captain Corry Evans agreeing a new deal recently... IMPORTANT PLAYER "We all hope so. It's not something I can really comment on because I don't get involved in it but again the coaching staff have let everybody know how important it is. But I think everybody knows how important Ross Stewart is for this football club and we hope there's positive news to come out of that as well." BIG PERSONALITY "I have nothing to report at the moment, but Ross is a big personality in the dressing room as well as a huge player on the pitch for the team. We'd all hope something could be sorted and announced in the near future." INJURY REHAB "Ross has been around. He's good to be around, he's a really positive guy. It's important to come and do rehabilitation in the training ground and be around all the lads." DRESSING ROOM "He's an important figure in the dressing room. So while he might have a big plaster on his leg, he's still got an opinion on what's right and wrong and what we should and shouldn't be doing. They're really important to have around the building."
Hope we get a result. One point out of nine would be a terrible signal to send out to opponents and a big jolt to our confidence. Hate saying it but would take a point to give the tired legs and minds a boost.
My team for tomorrow: Patto Hume Ballard Baath Alese Michut O'Nien Robert Pritchard Clarke Gelhardt Subs Bass, Cirkin, Neil, Amad, Ba, Ekwah, Jewi/Lihadji A few tough calls in that team but Neil and Amad who have been class until the last week or so probably need a rest Undecided about Jewi/Lihadji - wouldnt be against both being on the bench and Ekwah missing out so reckon its 2 out of those 3 for the bench I am not confident at all tomorrow, feel the way Coventry play we might struggle against - especially with them having a rest during the week As folk have said a point wouldn't be the worst result
I’d take a draw to get us back on track but not confident that will happen, we have looked dead on our feet the last few games so Christ knows how tomorrow will go. Starting lineup will be interesting to see. Would be tempted to start Ekwah in the middle for his physicality.
Most teams have these periods and it's not like we played badly against Bristol City or didn't deserve a point at Rotherham. We've scored in every game since Bonfire night and have only lost one game in ages. I don't think confidence is a big problem for this team tbh. Sheff Utd have just conceded six goals, in two defeats ... it happens.
