Fresh fruit and veg abounded on the last spacecraft as I was an abductee on. The truth is out there, along with plenty of good nosh.
Was in my local Tesco and Lidl this evening. What ****in shortages? Are you ****s playing some stupid game?
Fake news Fingers, fake news. Perpetrated by the lefty loony, woke, *****philic, hypocritical, champagne socialist UK mainstream media.
I was in Waitrose, didn't notice any empty shelves apart from there were less tomato choices than usual. Fortunately I've already filled my spare bedroom with £300 worth of tomatoes.
Aside from the non-story of mild supply-issues in fresh salad produce, what else is going on. Is it all about to kick off in Ulster?
It's quite ironic that she resembles Millie Tant out of Viz. Imagine waking up next to that fat dollop.
There are no shortages, some supermarkets (big chain stores) are struggling to get the salad food at the price they want/expect. Smithfield market in Gorton (Manchester) is stuffed with the stuff and smaller outlets use it for produce. The larger retailers buy in vast quantities so are in dispute about the price because they have a reputation/vision to uphold. Morrisons near me have full shelves of salad/veg, Tomatos range from individual to packs of six in various sizes, Cucumbers are wrapped individually or halved. Not sure why anyone would want to buy more than 3 cucumbers in one shopping session but i suppose people have their reasons.
