before you should be booted out of the FA? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-15640176 Does Spud bitterness know no bounds? If/when they are proven to be as crooked as their manager, they should be removed from the league! Failing that and as a second best punishment, they should be forced to remain playing in the dump that is N17 for ever
I just want to say that THFC have not yet been proven of any wrongdoing, so that any debate further thus is purely speculative. Over to you ....
Ultimately, it's up to the law to decide, so I wouldn't want to go accusing people of crimes. But if the Met police discover that Levy or his associates paid undercover surveillence teams to spy on the committee of the OLPC, then Spurs will be in deep ****.
Really? On what charge? Honest question. Private detectives put people under surveillance all the time.
Maybe no charge, surveillance is commonly used, the complainants might want to press harrassment charges, but it's all speculative at the moment. The reference to deep ****, is more regarding the reputation of your Chairman and the disrepute it would bring the club if he was held accountable. Either way, it hardly endears Spurs to any future Olympic Stadium campaign. It if were my Chairman pursuing the OLPC, I would feel very uneasy.
Why would it damage Levy's reputation or that of the club? The dealings between the OPLC, West Ham and Newham Council have already been exposed as dubious at best, so his suspicions would've been proven correct. I think that any interest in the OS has been dropped already. The aim seems to be to ensure that the athletics facilities are kept for as long as possible and to promote Orient's bid, in my opinion.
From the outside it looks as though all parties have been engaged in dubious practices. It's not a great advert for the Olympic games and it's not great PR for Spurs either.
What dubious practices have Spurs been engaged in? So far we know that one of the OPLC Directors was living with West Ham's Olympic Project Director and being paid by the club. We also know that both of them worked for Newham Council in the past. We also know that the original winning bid was thrown out as well as the conditions of that bid. What else has been proven?
Spying on members of the OLPC ? Although that is still only an allegation. I don't deny that the OLPC, West Ham and Newham Council have made fools of themselves, I just think that Levy's pursuance of the whole affair has now dragged him and the club into what is a very messy affair. It's not good publicity for Spurs at all, if it were my club and chairman, I would not be happy about it at all.
Even if it were true, their dubious actions would've made it a prudent move. The whole thing stank from the start and it only seems to get worse. That would depend upon the outcome. If the club is cleared of any wrongdoing, gets a substantial fee towards local regeneration from the Government and ensures that the OS keeps it's athletics facilities, then I'd say it's job done.
Everything that I've stated there is an undisputed fact. I know that you hate them Jayram, but it is what it is.
They're certainly not like the 'facts' that you used from Transfermarkt. Don't be bitter, though. You already admitted that you were talking crap, so don't drag it out onto other threads.
You'll continue to embarrass yourself whether I'm on here or not. Please stop stalking me, though. It's creepy.
I suppose Spurs could stoop so low as to make a secret arrangement to get promoted on something other than league placing - but we can all agree that no proper club would do such a thing - oh
