Another great thread RTB, for my 2 pence worth, I think its a winnable game but the young lads look like the great season they're having is starting to catch up with them slightly and they are looking a bit leggy at times. We have played some great cutting football this season and I think we'll do it in patches in this game as Coventry are having a decent season themselves. Heart says win and head says draw, I think I'll play safe and go with the head on this one

Just had sky sports on and they were advertising this game during the adverts and they used a Ellis Simms goal and a picture of Corry Evans in it. Do they not do any research?

I agree mate and it's understandable. All the more reason for rotating the squad imo. I would like to see Ekwah given a start. Michut needs someone with a bit more energy alongside him and Dan, after a superb January, has looked a little off the pace the last few games, so a rest for a couple of games would benefit him and the team in the long run.

I expected us to win the other night, whereas I don't expect us to win this one, so we will probably win it. Heart says draw, head says 2-1 Coventry. Hope both my head and my heart are wrong and we pick up 3 points. It's still been a marvellous season and there will be loads more games when we can't believe how good we've become. Hope this is one of them.

Great thread again RTB. Can't express my gratitude enough for what you do mate.

May we win 1-2 with 2 hotly disputed goals in the last 5 minutes, and Jimmy Hill is spinning in his grave!!

    Fook the big-chinned hoor!!

It might be time for TM to trust some of the newer players like Ekwah and Lihadji with starts, maybe get Bennette and Ba in the team too. Let Neil, Amad, Clarke and co get a rest for a couple of weeks (no more midweek games until middle of March)

    Patterson
    Hume Ballard Batth Cirkin
    Ekwah Ba
    Roberts Pritchard Bennette
    Gelhardt

Subs: Bass, Alese, O'Nien, Michut, Lehadji , Amad, Clarke

    Probably a terrible idea

How bizarre that the last time almost 3 years to the weekend (March 1st to be exact) was the last time I saw @grandpops alive when I took him to the sol to watch the Coventry match away on a 12 noon ko

Hope we give it to these tramps.

We need a big step up in performance and no more 4-4-2.

The other night was a below par performance. I'm expecting the lads to up their game and win this one 1-2

I've been my usual negative self, and predict a 2-0 defeat. Lads looked exhausted on Tuesday, and I think this 2 games in a week for a sustained time has taken its toll. Hopefully things will get better when we get back to 1 game a week

    cheers again RTB...

said it myself the past couple of games that the lads look 'leggy', i know i am an older fecker but i honestly cannot remember games being so 'thick and fast' but with my memory who knows and have honestly prepared myself for a couple of below par performances and possibly a couple of losses.

that said, i always want to beat these yet they always seem to get that edge they need to hang on or get the extra goal...joffy looks active enough and works himself around the pitch ok and it seems the lads are learning where to put the ball for him, as it stands i will take a draw i guess.

Maybe if this 4 day week comes in they will change the game from 90 minutes to 72 minutes.
That should help if some of our lads are feeling a bit tired.

    *not to be taken seriously.

I would quite happily lose this game if it meant every Coventry player and fan self combusted just prior to kick off.

And now with the niceties out of the way I would take a point now but obviously hoping for the win. Although it pains me to say it they arent a bad tea, fk it I cannot say it. This in theory should be a damn sight harder that the game the other night but whatever the outcome SAFC still doing well.
Hoping Geldy is now ready to get a hatful of goals. We are capable of beating any team in this league on our day and I am hoping this is the case on Saturday.
2-2 is my prediction but hoping we get a really bad decision for a penna in injury time and win it.

    Once again cheers RTB.

Apparently Coventry fans hate us, they think we are all cnuts and they always beat us.

    Perhaps the sentiments are reciprocated!

They're quite bitter people with a huge inferiority complex ...

... based mainly on being hugely inferior.
