I can't believe people are going on about this bolloxs again of shortages because of Brexit, so 7 years on there is still so much butt ache, that twitter is pushing false narratives again, normally aided and abetted by the likes of SKY.

Last time there was supposed food shortages, twitter was pushing the same narratives, all false. During the week I went into the local supermarket it was full of produce, today I've got more produce being delivered, nothing out of stock.

It's easy to take pictures of empty supermarket shelves, do it just before their next just in time delivery arrives, as that's how they operate, before Brexit and after it.

I bid good day to you all and I suggest you buy some tissues for your tears, if they are in stock.

Apart from the fact that JIT deliveries won't comprise everything on those shelves. Cucumbers won't come in with peppers. Tomatoes won't come in with grapes or melons. Brexit deniers again. You know it's a busted flush, just admit it.

What fruit and veg would you like, I've just had a delivery, prices reduced yesterday as well to sell more. <laugh>

I never had any problem in the last supposed shortage, maybe being in the South we're still regarded as part of the EU, and they know that Scots are allergic to eating fruit and veg.

Today I had delivered toms, cucumber, lettuce, onions, celery, pots, carrots, parsnips, plums, kiwis, clementines, bananas, I'd already got apples and oanges, so what stuff is supposed to be out of stock?

Edit: oh and a kilo bag of raisins :cheesy:

Bloody well should do with the temps we had last summer. Probably get some sweet peppers in as well, if its that hot again.

When it comes to really thick, you are way out in the lead.

The “tomato shortage” is nothing to do with Brexit – it is to do with bad weather meaning that the crop is reduced. The fact that when there is a shortage the suppliers sell what they have to their nearest markets (not us) is immaterial. The fact that selling things to us has been made harder as a punishment for Brexit is the EU’s problem – punishing their own members when we run a trade deficit with them.

If they want a trade war they can have it. I wonder which of the European economies will have the biggest recession. They had best hope that it is not Germany because they are the ones paying all the bills for the hopelessly indebted Mediterranean countries.
