Some absolutely desperate last ditch defending from Rotherham helps them win - and keeps Sunderland below us.
Ah - they talked about a foul (or non foul they thought on the keeper ) but then the fans would be biased ! Tony Mowbray didn’t mention it after wards .
Well I never noticed a foul on the keeper - that's not to say there wasn't one - but the guy who thought he had scored was falling over right next to the left side upright as he kicked the ball, with no-one in front of him or level with him. Would have to look again, but I'm sure the linesman flagged.
just had a look at the highlights. Contentious one - the commentator does say no offside for the original cross into the box, but a Sunderland forward headed the cross to his teammate, who kicked it in - andhe only had one defender in line with him, so offside in my book. The keeper was lying on the ground a little further back having been pushed over - which probably prompted the commentator to say foul on the keeper, but one of his own players had jumped for the original cross and pushed a Sunderland player into him. Not a foul for me. I'm glad I'm not a referee - having to make an instant decision on something like that...
Very true - and no VAR of course (maybe not a bad thing) so he can only make a quick judgement call. I mean we've now got people saying they'd rather lose out to an on field error from an official than hang around for VAR to get things wrong and take time out of the game Mowbray didn't bring it up as I say or maybe couldn't be bothered! One ex Sunderland player wasn't impressed but then he is going to be biased. https://twitter.com/marco_ten?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^author
Remember the famous “Who are they “? advert about Accrington in the 80s. Well seems one of the actors had got himself into a whole world of trouble and life of crime culminating in this . https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news..._medium&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1677092286
"Rice has gone to a successful acting career including roles in Coronation Street" That's a matter of opinion ..
Neve heard of him have to say .but he obviously had a very different career and life ! Funny how it can be so different. No excuse for his crimes obviously but you do wonder if he kind of really lost his way and had nothing to fall back on when the acting didn’t take off .
Governmental regulator in football? Better not tell FIFA/UEFA as they don’t like Governments getting in involved in football . And some might say the Government have their own problems to sort out ! Never go through as the clubs won’t agree to th
Legendary commentator John Motson has died aged 77. Sure so many of us watched the game for so long with his voice on the BBC. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64742833
